Title: Battle BGM Problem
Post by: utchi on January 18, 2006, 11:20:23 PM
In RPG Maker 2000
how can I make a boss battle start with a specific BGM.
When I make a battle start the BGM is tho one set on "Database.System"

Before the Encounter command (before you start the battle itself), use a Change System BGM (or something like that) command, then select the Battle option and change it to the song you want. After the battle is done, change it back to the regular song.

Hmmm.... sorry to be a bit off topic, but Utchi brought up a good point.
Every time I put some certian midis for a boss battle or some area battle, it screws up the other midis. Example:

if I played something like Silpheed-stage1.mid, and then any others... it's all screwed up and sounds awful in RM2K, but I've not seen it happen in RM2K3 fortunetlly... why?

Umm... RPG Maker 2000 sucks, that's why.

Etna: Yeah, RM2K likes to mute certain tracks in MIDIs, or set them all to piano patches. I don't think it happens in RM2K3, so unless you're making a game in it, I would recommend 2K3.

Utchi: I'm not sure what it's called in RM2K, but it should be titled "Battle","Encounter","Fight" or something like that.
