Okay, I guess I'll jump in on the fun. This is a song I've been working on, it's a cover of the Johnny Cash Song "Hurt". I was gonna remake it into a rock song, but since I only have my acoustic with me, I could only record it with that, at the moment. Here's a bit of it, I'm still working on the rest, and playing it is a bitch. I tried and tried but could only get this much, even this has one noticeable screw up in the beginning. Well, enjoy. tell me what you think.

NOTE: There's onyl a few tweaks in it, since it's just the beginning.

That's the plan, but I want get the guitar part down first, because the lyrics are already doen for me anyways. I tried once, and I gotta say, playing this and singing is pretty damn not easy 0_0

I could recognize it as Hurt, thats a plus. It seriously needs the ol Johnny lyrics though, C;mon, we wanna hear ya sing Dren!

Well, I would if my guitar hadn't just broke. >.< Sucks, playing some tumes and *pop* there goes my g string.

Am I the only one who realizes that's a cover of... a cover? Hurt by NIN originally. Not bad though. I play the NIN version, never looked at Cash's and it's tough, I cheat to sing and play it, I play the notes as chords instead of playing the notes.

ACTUALLY, Hurt WAS originally made by Trent Resner (sp?) and I think he even made the song for Johnny Cash, but I could be wrong botu that. Well, either way, it is a cover... of a cover.

Hurt was originally done by NIN. It was covered by Johnny Cash. That was covered by Denrin. And about that, I must say, its an interesting variation of the original.

Ugh. I know it is not your fault but any time someone makes that mistake i want to stab them in the ****ing throat. There is nothing that angers me more. I know it's not your fault, you are just misinformed. ****!














































Sorry, I worship Trent Reznor, and he deerves all the credit he can get.

No one ever makes it clear that Cash covered it, and he died so close to it's release that he didnt really get a chance to clarify. I like Cash's version, but the version on the downward Spiral is still my favorite song.

I play the NIN version too, on piano and guitar. I think the NIN version is harder than Cash's, and I like it better. It is a very hard song to sing, because of all the accidentals.

Here's another sample of a song idea. The intro was just me screwin' around with chords. I could play this better, but it's not extremely easy.
