Why? how long have you been behind sword and masque, which weapon, which style, and where is your salle at?  I should like to play if I'm in the area.  ::)

Hmmm... you seem to know enough. Let's see if you can tell my fighting from this:

Primary styles: Spanish with Saviolo teachings.

Medium Rapier. Screw close combat, screw pussy thrusts.

Favorite Move: Locking my handle over yours and pulling out, thus disarming you unless your grip on the hilt is REALLY good, then I end up disarming myself.

I've been wanting to take up fencing, but I'm not really well built for it, not to mention that it's out of my parent's price range. Mebe I'll look into it once I get a job, and prob'ly get into shape a little. Now, onto the topic: Hello.

Hmm...mentioned both rapier and Vincentio Saviolo's treatise of fence...also spoke of close combat and the Spanish technique (possibly Destreza, as described by Alvaro Guerra de la Vega?).  Definitely not one of the Olympic/Sport-style fencers...likely fights one of the many Duello/Historical-styles.  By any chance, are you a member of the SCA, and if so, which Shire/Barony?

Not well-built for it...?  There are people all across the board, bodytype-wise, at the salle I fence at.  And, getting your own gear isn't as bad as ya' might think.  It's about the same as one term's worth of textbooks at college (depending on what degree you may pursue/are pursuing).
