That's because hardly anyone died in Desert Storm.

Worst move ever! MARCH OF THE FRICKEN PENGUENS!!!! How I detest that movie. While I watched it I wished my eyes would be goaged out just so I wouldn't have to see the images, and I longed for acid to be poured into my ears so I wouldn't have to listen to the old guy talk about how penguins march. Grr, its sad when the best part of the movie was a small fight between a seagull and a little penguin.

Yeah, I was forced to watch it in the theatres when I was baby sitting my little cousins. They made sure I couldn't fall asleep. I even got paid to watch this movie, never again, not even for a million dollars.

Worst movie ever? Easy! That evil spider man movie, where spiderman is a villan, drives a crappy 70's car, jumps out of tipis and stabs people with switchblades, and is eventually stopped by captain america and a mexican wrestler/spy who steals stuff by stuffing it into his crotch. Half way theough the movie, the scene jumps to a dojo for absolutley no reason other than the production team had a few ninja costumes and acess to a gym.

Seriously, i've seen this move, and it was a waste.

Just about ANY Sci-Fi channel original movie. Giant animals, oh noes! Or Borne Conspiracy. Shaky cameras, poor lighting, random characters...... blegh. The first movie had potential though.

TROY
THE WORST MOVIE EVER.
SERIOUSLY
IT CAN'T GET WORSE THAN TROY
THE WORSE MOVIE EVER.

Seriously, that was all special effects.
I fell asleep it was so boring, I woke up and it wasn't over.
FREAKING THREE HOURS OF CRAP LAYERED BETWEEN LENGTH AND BORING.

On the countary, I once saw "On the Beach", set in a world where nuclear fallout kills everyone. I fell asleep about half way through, woke up, continued watching it and still regard it as a great movie.

Worst ever? There's a lot of really, REALLY horrible generic movies that I've seen... I'd say Backlash Oblivion 2, or whatever the hell it was. It had a lot of setting and continuity errors.

I'd have to say the Bruce Willis Disney movie "The Kid" was the worst film I've ever seen.

I'd have to go with MrMister and carmen and say From Justin to Kelly. Though I've never seen it, I think it's ridiculous that it would be a movie  about it at all. Plus, with my brother working at the movie theatre telling me of the crazy fans who complained their asses off to him that they wanted to see Justin and where was he just makes me feel like that whole movie idea moved America down a knotch.

EDIT: Oh, yeah DragonBlaze I actually thought March of the Penguins was pretty well done considering the entire thing was a documentary. Cut them some slack, how many documentaries have you actually liked? Excluding the ones where you find and laugh at innuendos to various things.

Lately, a lot of new movies have been ****. Dark Water sucked, The Ring 2 was gay. Kill Bill 1 and 2, Pulp Fiction. uh... and yes, Phone Booth did suck, I was all excited and the ending was pure crap and it was just aggravating. Troy wasn't bad. Spawn was one of the queerest movies I have ever seen. The graphics were pathetic, and I fuckin' HATED that clown! RRRR, he made me feel so disgusting and angry!

The reason why a lot of new movies such is probably the decline of creative thinking. They have been mostly eye candy and I agree that dark water sucked and the book it was based off suck major ***. It is a shame but at least there is always tv.

The worst movie is Tiger. Shitty camera, repeats scenes in the most pointless places, lip synch is so frikin off i almost snapped the disc, the main character was a 2-year old kid who mumbled so much you cudn't even understand wat the heck he was talking aboot.
Title:
Post by: Cerebus on February 14, 2006, 03:36:49 AM
It wasn't the worst, but Dark Harvest was bad... and there was something wrong in it... in some scene, the main Character had shaved beard and his hair were comb. In other scene, his beard wasn't shaved ( well... a short beard... like when you don't shave it for, like, two days ) and his hair weren't comb. Not sure if it's 'comb' tough... anyway...

There were a bunch of documentarys I liked, my favorite being that Animal Planet special on dragons. I like most of the history channel documentarys on wars and such. Those are actually interesting, who would have thought England was going to build airship cariers out of ice!

March of the Penguins may have been interesting if you liked penguins, but it was incredibly boring, and there was nothing to it. Penguins march to the breeding ground, some march back to whereever, they march back to the breeding grounds, some others march back, they march back to the breeding grounds, some more march back, and thats the whole movie!!! Its boring, no interesting facts were given, not to mention the guy who spoke during the movie spoke in such mono boring way. Maybe this movie would have been alright if it was an animal planet special, but it never belonged in the theatres. Its one of them specials you find while browsing channels and just keep on browsing without giving a seconds though to check it out.

I haven't seen a worse movie ever. Any other movie at least has a plot of some sort, even if its stupid. Most movies have some sort of action or drama or suspence or humor. March of the Penguins had none of the above.

#1. Finding Nemo is a good movie retard.
#2. That better not be the old Star Wars series :@
#3. War movies aren't all the same. I suggest that you watch more war movies than just Saving Private Ryan, which was a fantastic movie.
#4. The Child's Play series rules. Final. No dissing it and certainly no dissing Child's Play 1, 4, Bride of Chucky or Seed of Chucky.
#5. The two Spider-Man movies were great, though I agree on the others.
#6. If that's John Carpenter's The Thing from the 70s, I'll swear by god that I'll hunt you down and rip your heart out with my bare hands.

#7. I liked Final Fantasy The Spirits Within. You guys are just too big of a FF-noob-fans to see how good it was.
#8. The Village was a fairly good movie, even though you expected more from it by seeing the trailers.
#9. Gay cowboy movies are like... "ZOMG!!!! SUICIDE!!! *blows head off*"
#10. To the one above, the cowboy classic with Billy The Kid was good. Though, I forgot the name and they're not gay there.

Oddly enough, I liked/ didn't hate about half of the movies listed here. The movie I felt was the worst ever is prob'ly... Titanic. Sure, it had fair acting, nice special effects, a sex scene, AND a nude scene in a PG-13 movie, but it still didn't make a very good movie. I mean, taking a tragedy and turning it into a drama/love story with an overly predictable plot ruins what small shreds of dignity and quality that could have existed. And the retarted old woman at the end? Rediculous.

1. You're calling me the retard? I think you need a nap, you're cranky.
2. No. i meant just the episodes, I haven't seen the originals.
3. I've watched about ten of them, and they all are about the same.
4. The chuckie movies stank.
5. They were both just too predictable.
6. No. I mean the 2004 "The Thing."

So, any movie based on a true event is a documentary?   :|
You fail at logic....

Yes.

Dictionary.com: Documentary: A work, such as a film or television program, presenting political, social, or historical subject matter in a factual and informative manner and often consisting of actual news films or interviews accompanied by narration.

The titanic did sink, a lot of people died, and it was narrated by the old woman. I was only saying the movie's plot was predictible in that area because it's a documentary pertaining to the ship part, but I never said anything about the gay romance between two people. You just put words in my mouth.

That movie made me break up with her. It realy was that bad!!!!

There is some sheer powerful humour that lies beneath that post.

.

"Titanic" was not presented in a factual or a informative manner or did it consist of news, films or interview accompanied by narration. Thus, The "Titanic" was NOT a documentary.

Also, documentary are supposed to educate. Like march of the penguins. And what was that about gay romances? Titanic didn't have any gay romances.... Unless for some reason you skipped to talking about brokeback mountain.

Sorry Meiscool, but Snake Eater is right. Titanic was NOT a documentary. A documentary would not have a romance story in it. It would only be a story of the actual titanic. So... Snake Eater wins, Meiscool you lose

Keep this account. You can have that slight bit of respect factor of having an account older than 95% of the active members around here.
Otherwise, you join as a new account and you'll get walked all over.

Also, Titanic wasn't a documentary. A documentary is usually narrated by someone you never see, and it shows footage of the events in question and statistics and what not.
Titanic was a movie based on actual events.

Because, if you go by the fact that "based on actual events" = documentry, that means every episode of Medium is a documentry because Allison Dubois is a psychic.

oh well, documentary, based on real event, whatever. My whole point to archem is that there's a pretty "DUH" explaination as to why the plot of a true event was predictible.

well it' wasn't a mystery....

it was a drama. The whole thing about the movie is the drama and passion in the film...not the thrilling unexpected events.

I guess it really depends on your opinion.

I, personally, think the Titanic was not a documentary, but that's just my two cents.
