i was wondering i have searched the net but all ive found is usefull programs in a language i dont understand, i think the language is "Thai", anyway is there another way to make rpg maker play mp3's?
(when i use my audio conversion wizard to convert an mp3 to wav it end up being 23megs)
cheers in advance

Hmm, well most versions of rm2k3 can use mp3s by defult. So you could just update rm2k3 and be on your way.
Oh, and that thai language or whatever, it should work. A major site with rpg maker and all that stuff is in thai, but the actual programs/patches are in english (there are also thai language patches, you don't want those). I'm guessing you know that site already, if so, go there and download the mp3 patch. If not, search for it, since it also has illigal versions of rm2k3, it would be against the rules for me to post the link.

Most versions of RM2K3 can use MP3s right out of the box. When you're importing music, just click the drop-down box underneath the filename box, and select MP3s to select from a list of them.

Ditto. Although, I find it odd that I can only import .wav files or mp3 files for sound effects, since I can find and make some "good enough" sound effects as .midi files. Odd. And a bit of a shame. I don't want to hunt down a converter, and eventually, increase file size.
