For those who don't know what I am talking about, Acetonic Mushrooms is a series of comedy Rm2k movies. It's kind of unusual genre for RPG Maker but crazy stuff happens sometimes. You just press play and watch the movie as it was on TV. Each of the episodes lasts for about 20 minutes.
The story is about a group of students and their weirdest adventures. They fight various enemies of mankind, eat mushrooms (yum) and always get themselves into trouble. Some dialogs may be strange due to translation from my native language but I was trying my best.
No RTP or other software needed, they're all stand-alone projects. After pressing 'play' there is a scene selection and if you're watching from the beginning choose '1'.
There are 6 episodes by now and you're free to comment how good or bad this **** is.
Warning! The episodes contain strong language, violence and sexual content!

ZOMG Question!
Is it an actual sit and watch and do nothing kinda thing, or do you still have to press enter through dialog?
-
Hmm... interesting. I watcheda little bit of the first episode, somep arts were really messed up. Like the Setakisk (sp? w/e) dorm, WTF? A friggin train comes form no where and runs that dude over, I started cracking. Only on Charas. Surprisingly, not bad. I mgiht check out the others on a later date. :D

You should make some saves in some parts of the hitory and change "Continue" to "Scene Select"
-
I watched episode one. It's cool. Random, but cool! I have to agree with dren that the 13th floor dorm part was the funniest part.
EDIT: Yes, Meiscool, it is sit and watch.
EDIT 2: Just watched episode 2. I liked the first one better, but 2 was ok. 16-bit porn... how very... strange... but hey, whatever I still thought it was done well. I really liked the ending, it was pretty cool. One other thing I think the second has over the first is that it was easier to follow what was going on. Good job.

I watched the first one. Funny at times, but the music was awful.

True.

Note: Random does not automatically equal funny. *Looks at Archem*

Yes, yes it does. It only depend of how is your mood.
BTW, I didn't like the 3rd one, dunno why, the Star War parody wasn't that well done. And Number 4 apparently does needs RTP.
-
Yeah, well, being random is a skill.
People who say **** like 'i eat monkeys' are fuckin 'tarded.
There were some problems with the translation :P
-
K, thanks for your comment and criticism.
The episodes may seem random because I tried to create something new. I thought that completely unpredictable situations will be more funny.
And you fefinetely should check the 5th one. It takes place in Dungeons and Dragons world so it will be easy to follow the story.

Is that because you hate midi format? Or you didn't like my music selection?
-
I've only seen the first one so far, but I think it's freakin' hilarious. I did have a problem with the somewhat poor midification of Adam's Song, though.
-
Just finished watching the second episode. They were both really funny. i'm looking forward to the others. :D lol
-
I just watched the first two, they're awesome! :) I'll watch the others later when I have time.
-
I watched the first one. Great use of rm2k and spriting skills, it was brilliant. I loved the "Wait a minute, we have no fire escape!"
-
Haha, I just saw the first one, it's great. Im gonna watch the rest. Makes me wanna take mushrooms, but then the monitor melts and I can't watch it.

On a slightly different note, I've been thinking of making this kind of thing for a while. I guess this can help me out with ideas for how to do things and mebe some plot-block breakers. Don't worry, I won't steal your ideas, I might not even get to doing it at all, but I think it's good that someone's doing this kind of work. Thumbs up yet again.
-
Holy shit, I just sat here and watched them all. That was awesome. My favourite's probably the DnD one... very nice work!
-
XD the best thing on 5 for me was to recognize all the Suikoden II charsets you used, for starters Ozz is Sasuke, my fav one.
-
Heh, I'm glad you liked this stuff.

Sure, it would be great to know another person making movies on Rm2k :) You know, making such stuff is much easier than traditional games. You can finish them more quickly and you don't need to think a lot about mapping. So, good luck on your projects ;)

Just finished watching them all they where good, but you should probably should put a warning for some of them for some of the younger people!
-
K, I made a warning in the first post. But I doubt that such warnings will prevent younger people from watching...
-
Probably well make them want to see it more now but it is good that you made it!!!
-
I watched the rest of them, they're great! :D I love the randomness. :p
