man if you can do 200, and 2003 you can do XP in fact it's easier to work with XP because of the whole scale thingy..

Heh, I downloaded a custom battle system and put it in my game. It was as simple as copy and pasting a common event (though it was a script instead.

Sry I had to leave*

To Linkforce:
I can do edits on colors and make images match up pretty nicly and can transfer images with little to no color loss. I am not that good with making custom graphis right now but practice.

To smokey_locs2002
Well I never really tried to edit Xp because I don't use Xp. But I will give it a try if you think It is easier.

Wait so what exactly can you do? You can edit colors and you can write? Does that mean like help write the story and such.

Anyway, if thats all you can really help with when in a team, I doubt anyone will really need you. In which case, just work on a game of your own and practice specialty stuff such as custom gfx or scritping, or making music, or get really good at making maps. A majority of the time, people don't need writers, and not many people will need a whole lot of recolors.

Yeah I understand what your talking about. I guess I need to practice more and get a couple things of my own going. That makes sense. well thanks for your advice.

Se with Xp you cna make any sprite size as long as it's a multiple of.... I think... 4.. and as for icons and such. I forget the sizes.
(Yeah I'm intelligent)

hhmmm I knew it had to be 4 but I wasn't sure about if there were only some acceptable sizes. I will have to start working on that and testing it out. (Goes to Dl Xp) Btw does any 1 know where I can find out how to make a CBS in Xp?

Nah, sprites can be any size. Sprite sheet sizes need to be divisible by 4 in order to work right. Though you won't get an error if you try to import sprite sheets that don't have these dimensions.

Icons need to be 32 x 32 pixals.

Tiles need to be this size as well. Tilesheets can have any height, but the length needs to be 256.

Panoramas can be any size, which is very nice. Well I tried importing a 2000 x 2000 image and it worked fine. There may be a limit, but its pretty high.

The color depth doesn't matter either, so thats a very good thing.

RmXP graphic designing is harder because everything is twice as detailed. However, once you get used to it, you'll probably like it more because you have much more freedom. I know I like working with rmxp a lot more, I make my characters like 80 x 40 pixals and add all the detail I want, compared to the measly 32 x 24 pixals rm2k/3 allows.

Anyway, back on topic, chronoman, I'm sure with some practice, you'll be a valued member of some uber cool team :), until then, don't worry about it. Being on a team isn't all that great anyways. Its much funner to work on your own game than to make stuff for a game that isn't even your own. In the future though if you want to join a team, don't join a team where you just work on the 'leaders' game. Instead, join a team where each member has a specialty and they all help eachother with eachothers projects. I was on one of those once, I made rmxp charsets and in return other members made me scripts and music. Each member had their own game, but we all worked together to make a team project as well, and the team project wasn't just the 'leaders' game, it was all of ours game. Anyway, if you want to join a team, something like that is the way to go. Being a slave and just doing what someone tell you without really anything in return isn't worth it.

Oh yeah, even though your not an a 'team' you can still do commisions and all that. Even if you only get thanks in return, those are always fun to do (for me at least anyway). Its a good way to practice before committing yourself to a team.

Wow thanks for all of the input and the tileset/icon sizes as well as telling me it has to be divisable by 4.  As for your advice about teams I am currently in one but quit before I made this topic. All the other members did was goof off and nothing was ever done. I had/ have my own project and we have a team project (Which I might just adopt. We are talking about it now.)  So I will follow your advice And just freelance for a while to better myself.(That was cliched) So thank you very much.  :D

Thats a good place to learn how to script with ruby (rmxps scripting system). Look at the left hand column for the differant commands and classes. There should be tutorial or something at that site as well. Though you'll probably need some background info in scripting in order to understand it. Eh, its worth a look.
