Title: Hello :)
Post by: deathentry on February 23, 2006, 03:09:01 AM
Well I was browsing around on google and stumbled upon this forum :)
I am a 21 year old computer science student currently on this final year at uni.

Not much to say really lol. Currently I'm trying to finish my degree off so I don't have much in the way of free time. I own the domain www.oceanflame.com (how i actually found this place under google images) however it doesn't have your bandwidth problems :p

I'm also a highly experianced vb.net programmer, probably can create anything in a short period of time.

If you want to see it then have a look at the link below.

So you're a programmer? That's pretty cool, are you into RPGMaking? I'm guess you could make one without an RM. Or atleast know where to start.

ANYWAYS

Welcome to charas!

No lol I use vb.net it has been a long time since I used a game creation thingy. It's hard to go from something that does it all for you to a blank screen and having to code all the things which you take for granted for so long.

Is there anywhere on this forum I can post something like, this is my game I need help is anyone interested? It seems to be against your graphic rules, despite the fact what I am working on is original and requires a lot of input and original graphics. Final fantasy is not a one man created game :p

Welcome!

Well, yes you can post your game in the games section, but it's hard to get people to join you in making your game. They might contribute some things, but a lot of people have their own games they are already working on.

Hey! Welcome to charas!

I know what you mean by staring at a blank screen compared to a game maker thingy. I tried my hand at making a few games in qbasic, lol, yeah that was interesting. And thats not as complex as vb.net, or at least I'm assuming its not. :p

I might be better off posting under games (however there is a sign that says for games made with charas stuff which I don't currently incorporate)

Under your graphics section you are prohinited from posting a thread on the lines of please help me with my game I need graphics, it seems that if you want graphics you need to post in the threads that people are offering help for, useful if you know what you are looking for :p

You don't need to have charas graphics or anything in your game to post it in the games section. ;)

lol when I make a slighty more advanced version I will post it.

Currently upgrading the magic system so it can support:
hero - hero
hero - enemy
enemy - hero
enemy - enemy

and that only covers effect based magic not projectile based :@

Hum man this is taxing since they are on different arrays located under different sections. Heal is in took more code then I expected :S
