Well, I had posted a question on the Hard question number 1, but people didn't pay attention to it :p so, they kept talking about time travel and it got locked up. Well, but I think that this questions that you think that you have the answer and then it turns out that you had chosen something you'd regret helps sometimes to: a) Not judge a book by it's cover, and b) to think twice in your choices.

This is the question for you... mwahahahahahahaaaa...

You are running a race, and you cross the final line after the last contestant. In which position did you finish it? (note: sorry, I'll do some research for the next question lol)

Well if you crossed the line after the last contestant, you would get first, assuming its a race where you take laps, and assuming you didn't lap anyone. Yeah, cuz the last contestent crosses the line for like lap one, then your the first person to cross the line after him, and since he was the last person, you can't be the last person, meaning your actually in first and would be the first person to cross the line the winning lap after the last person crossed the line on the lap before the winning lap...

Or something like that.

If you cross after the last contestant, that means that the race hasn't yet ended after the person who is in last place crossed, and meaning if you crossed the line right after the person that is in last place, assuming you haven't been lapped, you're in first.

You are in 3rd place. The reason being, just because you pass the last contestant, does not mean you're in first. The first two are in front of you and you are holding a steady pace until you can blaze them at the end. Why third? It's just pure genius.

Wouldn't you be in... last place? if you take it literally if you cross the finish line right after that LAST person, than you would be the last in the race. right? uh... o_0

No, if you cross the finish place last, YOU'RE in last place. The person before you thus can't be the last person because you are.

The first person who crosses the line after the last person is the first person. It never said anything about that last person being done with the race when he crosses the line, so you can still cross the line after the last person and win while the last person moves on the the last lap.

How can you prove that you're in first? Maybe others have passed that person too. This might be unsolvable. Unless this is a 2 man race.

Because of the reasons already said, the last person just crossed the line in the second-last lap, while you just finished the race.  However, just because you crossed the line after the last person, doesn't mean you're in first.  You could be in second, the person in first crossed the line after the person in last, but so did you, just after the person in first.

Along with this theory, as long as the race has more than 1 lap, then you have already crossed the line.  Thus crossing it again would mean you're crossing the line after yourself.

This means you could be in any place, first, second, third, last, or something in between.

         You are in charge of the race some how or you are the referee, so you not actually in it at all, if you are the referee you have to run the race and wait for every contestant, so you would be always last becuase you have to cross the finish line after the race is over, or it is a trick question!

Ok, move it to forum gamig, I didn't know where to put this so I put it here :P

Well, I think that they are all capable posibilities, but finishing a race after the last is impossible, because of that you'd be the last one.

Yeah, I agree. It's the only way that works, imo. Unless, I'm missing something (which is probable)

Grr, I hate it when threads get moved from the all of all forum to the forum gaming forum. I never post in the forum gaming areas but I have a stupid little 6 or whatever in my forum gaming posts from threads that get moved there. It annoys the hell out of me.

This would be a really dumb question if you weren't even a contestant in the race...

I could care less about my actual post count or anything. But personally I don't like the forum gaming section because I find it pointless, and i don't like to take part in discussions I find pointless.

Its like you hate the color pink, but incedently in art class, someone spills pink paint all over your favorite shirt that you where every day.

Just even having the forum gaming section in my profile is like that pink on my favorite shirt.

I'm over exaturating this a lot. It really doesn't bother me a lot, its just  :|
