If you had to pick one RTP song as your favorite, which would it be?


Mine would be the Tranquil one.  #3.

1. Village 2 - I always liked that one. Has a nice peacefulness to it, and it brings back memories of my first crappy rtp game. ^^
2. Solace 1 - Reminds me of an underwater scene. I like underwater-like tunes.
3. Solace 3 - I always liked this one as well. I used it as a knight's theme, because that's what it sounds like to me.
4. Ruins - Dunno why, but this one just sounds cool.

The one that I hate, and when I say hate I mean hate with a passion, hate with a capital H, hate to the point that it makes me angry everytime I hear it. The song I hate most... *drum roll* ...

VILLAGE 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >_<

I can't stand this song. Everytime I hear it I think of redneck gnomes waltzing during the celebration after a bar mitzvah.  :yell:

Solace 2, reminds me of the first song I ever wrote on the guitar.
Village 3 reminds me of some game.. uh, Jade Cocoon or something.
Snow Town is a nice one too.

You know, funny that RTP is seen really rarely.. yet people hate it for some reason.

I like ruins from rm2k3. It also reminds me of my first game, you know? The one you think is going to be the best game ever, but then you scrap it and start another one? Yeah, reminds me of the row of houses I made, each looking exactly like the one before.

Gah! You beat me to making this thread! Well, I'm gonna have to say...........

Bustling City. I've always thought that one was pretty cool. It makes me think of a night out on the town.

EDIT: Oh, yeah and the one I absolutely HATE is.............

BATTLE 1! Even n00bs should realize that they can get their own battle music from so many places online! I actually think battles 2 and 3 are worse, but I haven't seen them used often. Every time I show RPGMaker to a friend and they get it they use battle 1 along with all the other RTP (as that's all they know about). It's SO HORRIBLY ANNOYING. I've even played decent-looking games where battle 1 burns my ears! So in conclusion... never ever ever ever use RTP battles... they are awful... I like the XP ones though...

I personally like "Lonewolf" because it's actually a rip of the theme to the 1957 western "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral."

EDIT: Oh, yeah I also like Tightspot. It reminds me of a cartoonish RPG style boss theme.

Village #3 is actually not that bad.  I don't see the problem with it.....XD

Like:--
1.Demonic (especially sped up two notches.) I listen it whenever I make a boss of evil origin (I'm even using it in the game).

2.Tightspot. I listened to it while making a boss where you run around a circle of ground while avoiding the boss' fire attacks. You had to complete 10 laps to generate enough power to turn the turrets back on to eliminate the boss. You had to repeat this four times.

3.Gameover3. Great listening for love scenes.

Hate:--
1.Panic (too repetititive)

2.Dungeon3 (sounds too much like the old scooby-doo theme)

Pretty soon, all of the RTP music will be dull and annoying. We'll not play a member's game just because it has an RTP song in it.
