If you have no expectations, you can't be let down. So I am happy to say that I have very little let downs.

How can you be let down by the ps3 already? It isn't even out yet. You should at least test something out for yourself before coming to conclusions about it.

Some retard said was all like "HAY GUYS, LETS MAKE A LOT OF THREADS SO WE CAN MAKE IT GO TO LIKE 25 PAGES" and it went up to at least 69 and probably 70+ but I never saw that far.

Lol, its not really that I don't care about anything or don't hope that something is good, its just that I keep an open mind about everything. If its good, then I am pleasently surprised, if its bad, its not big deal. So I still experaince all the 'joy' in everything, I just don't feel the pain when  something turns out bad.

Then again, now that I think about it, I was let down by Final Fantasy: the spirtis withing (who wasn't). FFX-2, and Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. But all that was over a year ago, so I never really thought about it. Even then, for BOF: DQ, I had no idea what the game was going to be like, I saw it on sale, so I bought it, I played it, but when it turned out to be not-so-good, it didn't bother me too much since I never got all hyped up about it.

Most meth in Canada comes from... my house!

I was let down by my friend Olivia because she started drinking again.

Rofl, that's not Sony letting you down. It's Guerilla, the Dutch company that's making the game.

Would be, if it was possible. It is unearthly to never have an expectation about anything.

What, you´re gonna tell me that in New Year you simply think nothing about what´s to come? When you receive a secret note from a girl you heartbeat doesn´t get faster? When you buy a new game you don´t get excited??

If you can keep that up (which I say again, is impossible), congrats, you´ve initiated the robots era.

I never think of what's to come. Except what's for dinner.

Mmmm... I wonder what IS for dinner.

Well actually I don't think about the New Year either. My attitude is... "Oh great, now I'll get older... -_-" and go back to what I was doing.

As for let downs, I've had my fair share O.o...

Meh, expectations are pointless. All my expectations are on myself, I expect things of myself, and I hardly ever let myself down. I don't expect anything of anyone else, thats just how I am.

Either you're extremely egotistical, or you have no friends, no parents, and you live by yourself in a dark cave.

You have expectations of everything. They may not be high, but you always have expectations.

Me? Last time I was let down was kinda by myself. I pissed my GF off. Like, alot. I mean afterwards she said "I feel like such an ***hole, it wasnt that big of a deal at all, Im sorry." I still felt like a dick though.

Hopes are different than expectations. Hope for the best, but expect the worst, an you don't get let down. You are even more pleased when something good happens.

...I PERSONALLY think you're just saying that because either

a) you think it makes you look cool

b) you want to be original so you try and stray from the rest.

EVERYONE has expectations. Maybe not high, but they have them none the less.  :|

Lol, I'm just open minded. I don't get all worked up over anything like "OMG I hope the ps3 is going to be so awesome!!!"

I guess saying I have no expectations is the wrong thing to say, after all, I do expect things to happen all the time. Like I expect that I'm going to have a soda tonight, and I expect it to get dark during the night. And for game, I have high expectations for them, not high hope, but high expectations, after all, the two are completely seperate. Like my expectations for rm2k3 games are at a level that I'll only play ones that meet my standards, if they don't, I won't play them. Having high hopes for a game would be I'm hoping a game is good, but it may turn out otherwise. And lets say a game wouldn't live up to my expectations, I wouldn't get upset or let down by it, because theres no point in it.

A big part in my personality is that I never do anything that I consider pointless. If i get homework on material that I thoroughly don't understand, I don't do it because I consider it pointless. And since I always ace tests and quizes, it won't affect my grades at all. That being said, I think having high hopes for something is pointless, I think feeling upset or sad about something such as a game not living up to your expectations is pointless. It doesn't accomplish anything.

Like I stated ealier, if something isn't up to my expectations, I won't get down, but that doesn't mean I won't get 'happy' or 'exited' if they're above my expectations.

So you're right, i do have expectations, but I don't 'hope' that something will be good or bad. I am completely open minded about that kind of thing.

Its not that I'm living in a whole, I don't have friends, or I don't have parents, because thats far from the truth. The thing is, I am open minded about most things. Now if its something big like a job or whatnot, then yeah, if I don't get the job I wanted, I'd probably get down if I didn't get it. For most things though such as games, movies, events, etc, open minded all the way.

In no way do I think this makes me cool or anything. Its just my personality and its who I am. I could lie and say something like "I was so upset that FFX-2 sucked". When I did play it, there is no doubt that I thought it sucked, but I didn't get upset over that fact, I just threw it aside and moved on to something else more interesting.

Ok. I PERSONALLY disagree, and I would hope I am in a better place to judge, objectively.

Yeah so.. like I said, what has let you down rather you had high hopes or set high expectations.....You can flop any sentance around to where expectation/s or hope/s will fit into it. It comes comes down to. Were you let down or not..

Things that have let me down? I guess I'd have to say: Half-life2(only because of steam) and finding out that my class rank is 62/610(so close to top 10%)
