Title: Music Troubles in RPG 2003
Post by: enmirii on March 03, 2006, 07:31:04 PM
Okay, I'm unsure if anyone else is having this problem, but when I run my RPG Maker program and have my music selection running (Mp3's). There is this blood currdling screetchy noise that follows. So I turn off my musiuc player and it stops it. Then when I try to play MP3 in my game it'll do the scream thing, but once I enter a command or go into the menu. It shuts up and plays the file just fine. Do I just have a bad version of the RPG Maker 2003? Or what? My ears are reallying in parrel, and they bleed.

Any help?

I thought there was a patch or something that I could use to help get rid of that.

I used to have that problem, though very rarely. I'm guessing you do have a bad version of rpg maker. I don't know any sites off hand that have patches to upgrade rm2k3 to a newer version that don't also have links to the actual rm2k3 program. So I can't post the ones I know.

Anyway, search for rm2k3 patch v1.08 on google or something (just rm2k3 patch should work), and you should get some results.

Otherwise if its just a particular song, it just may have some currupt data that is causing it, then you would either have to find a differant version of it, or simply find another song to use.

All right. I'll try that then. I don't think it the song because it any type of MP3.

EDIT - Okay, I found the patch and I followed the instructions. Well, I didn't get an ear bleeding nose the first time I opened it, but after chanigng a few times. I got a small buzz, not hurt your ears fail you from contest, but annoance. I'll try in game play though and see what happens.
