Title: Adult Swim
Post by: smokey_locs2002 on March 17, 2006, 04:30:09 PM
I'm sure most of you know what Adult Swim is and some of those who know have absolutely no way of watching Adult Swim due to location or not having cable or both....

Well Adult Swim has this thing called Friday Night Fix. This allows you to watch full lenth episodes of certain shows such as The Boondocks online.

All of us Adult Swim fans have known about this forever but I figured I'll let the whole world know. I've been introducing a lot fo my friends to Adult Swim online.

Now tell me. Who love Adult Swim!!!
I love AS they sure do got some there gewd shows, yep yep.
I hate some of their shows though. Such as 12oz Mouse.
I cannot stand that show.

the site is www.adultswim.com

Most of the shows are on a Canadian station, Teletoon.
The only decent show that isn't, Cowboy Bebop, I own the DVD of.

Well I watch it once and a while, but not often. I don't have cable in my room, and late at night thats usually where I am.

Aquateam hunger force is an awesome show, though most of the time pointless :p In my sciance class we have a tiled ceiling, the meatball is painted on one of the tiles, its great.

Otherwise family guy and futurama are great. Though I'm not sure if they're actually on adult swim, they may just come right before it.

I usually stop watching right about the time birdman comes on or whatever that show is called because I can't stand it.

12oz is random. Sometimes random is funny. I think its funny.
STROKER AND HOOP

Idk if I like the Boondocks. For some reason I feel racist if I dont. I WANT to like it, but it really doesent make me laugh. I guess I tune in to hear all of them say ****** 291347894589137489012374180 times.

No, GitS the movie was awesome, as was the old PS1 game. But SAC is kinda meh to me.

And Neon Genesis Evangelion is okay, but the main character is too much of a whiney prick, the blue chick is to self loathing and the red head should be shot.

Amen. Now, go buy the dvd set of Big-O and watch it. If you don't have a DVD player, go buy one, then buy the dvd set.

I've been a fan of Adult swim since it first came out, and I love (or at least moderately enjoy) all of the shows. Even 12 oz. Mouse. But not Birdman. Or Squidbillies.  Sorry, but I just can't stand them. And I love Evangelion. Great story. But the best show it ever showed (actually, it was a one-time only thing) was... Penguins in Prison? Is that what it was called? I can't remember. I just kinda miss a few of the early shows that they cancelled early on. And it was kinda odd that they had Y7 shows. Yeah, Adult Swim is pretty awesome.

I used to love Big-O, but my DVR isn't working, so I can't record it. (Damn Comcast).

I get tired very easily, so i never get to watch it live. I have to record it. Now I've missed about 10 episodes because of my DVR.

*Adds one respect point*

Big-O's a crazy *** show though. Watch 1 ime through and all you see is giant robot fights. Watch it a second time and you start to think, "Wait, thats some serious deep ****". On the third time through ylou stop watching the robots and understanding what it means, what its all about.

Back in the day, man, Yu Yu Hakusho. Uncut and kickass. Now AS's ok sometimes. I really only like ATHF, Harvey Birdman, Robot Chicken, and Morel Orel. The animes I like are Ghost in the Shell, Blue Gender (do they still play that? Haven't watched in a long time) Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Full Metal. I was hooked on FMA after 1 episode. The ending sucked, though. Of course, that's getting off topic...

Big-O was ok, but I got bored with it. It got stupid after awhile. Oh yeah, and I loved the intro theme...

Blue Gender, I totally forgot about that show. That was awesome. They took off Big-O though, and that bugs the hell outta me.

Anyone remember the pre AS Toonami: Midnight Run with Thundercats and uncut Gundam Wing?

Man Midnight Run freaken owned. I liked midnight run's first schedule more than the newer one. They use to only show it on Saturday from like 9:00PM to 4:00AM and they would just show random episodes of shows from toonami.

I just remembered, Toonami just about owned Cartoon Network. They had at one point 5 hours every after noon, the Midnight Run almost all night, and the Rising Sun every morning........... Outlaw Star. That show kicked ***.

Flattering oneself is evil. Very evil. It creates illusions of greatness that blind you and drive towards something unacheivable.

You just described yourself and called youself evil, blinded, and hopeless, all in the same sentence. Yay!

You are. Meis flattered himself for thinking he had a suck up, you flattered yourself by thinking you had the wisdom to persuade ones thoughts. And as you said "It creates illusions of greatness that blind you and drive towards something unacheivable", look it over again. What in the world makes ya think you can achieve the task of changing meiscools thoughts, for if you cant, thats unachievable, and as you said, driving blindly towards something unachievable makes you evil, self deluded, and self flattering.
