What is the official name for the type of game where you walk around and trade different items to people to get further?
Also, what are some good ones.
-
Most games arent based soley on the tarding, usually its just a side quest. I suppose itd be adventure though.
-
no i mean, like on newgrounds, or other flash game sites. Games like Nicholos' Quest
-
They're called: "If you're bored enough to play a game like this, you should kill yourself" games.
-
A Trade-em-up
Now to regain lost time...
-
I used to waste so much time on those things because I thought there would be more to them, then complete it and find it would be over.
-
First person trader.
-
"Adventure games" is what I call them.
-
It would be a kind of Sim, wouldn't it?
-
Nah, not really. Some of them are kinda RPG-ish.
-
The Trading Sim RPG, sounds like something I wouldn't play.
-
Well, Quest for Glory is an example of a... "trade game" or whatever. Lots of the game is just going around talking to people, exchanging items for other items to advance in your quest, and puzzles. But you fight monsters too.
-
They are officially qualified as an adventure game by most trustworthy sources.

Ghey.
-
Oh, no, that's normal.
THIS is gay:
-
mer SMB would be mortified.
And I consider them all different. Depends on which game you mean.
If I recall we had a discussion similiar about RPGs with action elements, and action games with RPG elements. You should check it out.

They belong in the "RPG" genre for some weird reason. Also in the "sim" genre. Though, I don't care.

Granny, I mean, Grandy (XD) is right on this matter.
