New game for DS. Anyone know/psyched about this?
Some recycled Seiken Densetsu 3 graphics, but mainly looks amazing.
Check out the site: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/mana/
Has 'multiplay', which has me completely tweaking out. I need to play this. I need to buy this. I need to caress the box. I need to read the manual at night.

To play good games.
Anyways, Children of Mana does look pretty good. I might pick it up when it comes out.

Because (thankfully) Nintendo's games have been leaning away from the touch screen a bit in recent releases, leaving it open for minigames and minor puzzles, as well as dividing it up into new buttons. Third-party games also seem to have leaned away from the novelty of the touch screen. Only the launch titles seem to be heavily involved in using the touch screen, and (in my opinion) the only one that pulls it off without making it boring is Kirby: Canvas Curse. The rest feel kinda fuddled. This looks promising, though. I hope they don't try and belly-flop onto the touch screen novelty too heavily in their gameplay.

DS has awesome online capabilities. Metroid Prime Hunters and Animal Crossing are reason enough to get a DS. This makes it better.

poor Nintento..
the diff between Nintendo and Sony is that, nintendo comes out with stuff and tell the people that's what they want.
Sony comes out with stuff people tell them they want.
People were all like "MINI GAME SYSTEM SUCK! WE WANT BIGGER SCREENS!"
So sony said "ok! bigger screen!"
Nintendo was like "hmmm...well we won't give you a bigger screen..but we'll give you TWO OF THEM! eh?"
Nintendo just keeps making mistake after mistake, it's a shame = (
Anyways. World of mana for the ps2 is def on my list. I happen to big a huge fan of legend of mana...*drools over soundtrack*

I have to say I kind of disagree with that. Nintendo gives me everything I want. Plus I'm probably one of the few who thinks the PSP has an ugly design and the screen is too big...
Anyway, yeah I'm looking forward to this game a lot. It looks really cool. I wasn't a huge Sword of Mana fan. I thought it was kind of short, but this still looks good. I'll be sure to put it on my list.

The PSP has a good sized screen.. I don't really like WW2 games though.

Well, that's kinda irrevalant. Show one WW2 PSP game.

See, I never minded the small screen on Nintendo's handhelds, it's part of making a travel sized, "pocket" system. And to be honest, all that extra screen space is a bit more than I'd know what to do with. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to have a PSP, but they're just too damn expensive and has too few games that I would want to play. And don't pull that "it can play movies and download stuff and play music" crap. I already have a DVD player, a CD player (and all the CDs I could want), and a computer, which is all of those in one. My Lappy > PSP. It's a fact. Sorry, but I wouldn't want to pay $150 more for a somewhat weaker PS2 with lower sound quality, a tremendously smaller screen, virtually no multiplayer with my friends (they ain't rich, either), and all for just the ability to play it in a car or something. Sure, I want one, but not until it's WORTH paying nearly two years of allowance for one. Same goes for the XBox 360. Sorry, but my current hardware does just fine for me. Oh, right, Children of Mana should rock bad. I mean that in a good way.

I'm a huge Seiken Densetsu/Mana fan.
Children of Mana came out March 2nd in Japan. No release date or a TBA for here yet but I'm expecting at E3 there will be something about it.
World of Mana isn't a game, it's a complication of games(think kind of like FF7) Children of Mana is part of World of Mana and so is Seiken Densetsu 4 which is commonly mistaked for being called World of Mana.
Children of Mana also has 4 weapons: Sword, Bow/Arrow, Hammer, Flail/Sickle. There is also 4 characters in it: Frick, Tumble, Pop, Niccolo/Wanderer.
-
I think the word is compilation, FF7 WAS a game, World of Mana will be a PS2 game, and this is technically a topic kick. Good going.
-
Oh wow, one day over week.. it's not like it's a 2 year or even a 2 week topic kick.
World of Mana IS NOT a game. FF7 is a game and when I said think FF7, I meant that there is many spin offs now and that they are making a bunch of games off of it and a movie(not sure if Mana is making a movie though).
I know my facts on the Mana series. I know basically all to know of it.
-
Ah, but World of Mana WILL be a game (unless they change the title before it releases)! Read the post a little better next time! Also, you never said anything about FF7 spin-offs, you said FF7. And I did say "technically", but that was mostly for effect, and because I was on a hypercritical roll. :vampire:
-
Okay, just to let you know. World of Mana isn't the game's title. It's wrong on many sites including GameFAQs and some other game sites. The World of Mana logo is even in Children of Mana.
-
Alright, well, I didn't get that information from a web site. Not really important.
