could someone please get me a few Golden Sun chip sets?? also, I need to get a few character sets for the game, such as Dora, Kyle, ect. and I also need some working monster sets. I tried all the ones on the site already, but none of them worked. Could I please get some sets?

Please read the rules: http://charas-project.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=7325&forumid=5&catid=4 (http://charas-project.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=7325&forumid=5&catid=4)
Also, the monsters you downloaded off this site. Is there any reason why they don't work?
-
well, the RPG Maker said the bitmap color is irregular, and it wouldn't load them into it. I'm trying to make a Golden Sun game, but without the correct monsters, or anything else, it probably won't be too good.
-
Okay, that's what I thought. If you're still interested, check this thread (http://charas-project.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=6020&forumid=22&catid=8), and look at that first question. Hopefully, that should help.
Also, if you're interested, you could try and rip the graphics by yourself. You'll ned a Golden Sun ROM, though (which is ILLEGAL, unless you have the cartridge), and take screenshots of the games. There's plenty of FAQs on ripping, just put "Video Game Ripping" in your favorite search engine and you'll come up with something.

I do own it, yes, I own the first and second, which sparked my idea to make a third, but I haven't any idea how, nor the time, to make the stuff myself, or even figure out how to do so. That's why I posted on here, hoping someone could do it for me.
-
I'm aware. But, since we have a policy about newbies requesting things, I figured I'd try to help you get started on helping yourself. I apolgize if I offended you in any way.

lol, no, you didn't, I'm not really new, I've been getting **** off here for the longest time, but just today I needed to get something, so I had to get an account thing, so yeah, but, like I said, I haven't the time to learn how to make my own ****, I have little time to be on my comp whenever I can get on, so I put all that time into making my game. Would you be able to rip me some **** please? I mean, I have the game, and you'd be making it for me, so I don't see it as illegal as long as you're not using the stuff yourself..... though I suppose that would grant you more right to use it than it would me because you'd have been the one who made it, but yeah, could you please??

That's not really the point he was making. He was basically trying to point out the fact that your first post was a request, and that we have a policy that first post requests will go unanswered. Even if you've known the site for a while, it's just the idea that you joined just to request something. I'm trying to put it the nicest way I can, I hope I'm not being offensive. However, I just happened to be aware of a thread that had the chipsets, so there they are right in the link in my last post. :)
-
Alright dude, thanks, no, you didn't offend me, but yeah, perhaps I should've actually read the rules first
-
thanks for that link, thatgot me some nice chipsets, now I just need some character sets, and some actual working in-battle battle animations, the real ones have an irregular bitmap color, or some stupid ****, so they don't work
-
The bitmap color needs to be 256-color and you probably have them saved as 24 bit. The problem is if you try to save them that way, you will lose color. BUT there is a solution. It's a program called UFX. I've never used it but I've heard it works great. Also, next time you want to add something to your post, try using the edit button. ;)
-
lol, okay, and also, how do I get this program?
-
Hmm... I tried googling UFX but didn't come with anything. I might've gotten the name wrong, but I'm pretty sure there's a thread on here somewhere that explains exactly where to get it and how to use it. I'll let you know if I find it.
-
okay, thanks, and also, I need some good battle animations, and then that ought to be it, if you find this program, and I get it to work, then I should be able to make work the rest of the things I've got, but even so, I still need some of the game's battle animations, such as the summons, attacks, ect.

Tells you where to the program and how to use it. :)
-
okay, I think the color problem is taken care of, but now it says there's a problem with the bitmap size, "bitmap size is irregular". what do I do about that?
-
Well, what size is the bitmap you're using? I mean, is it a spritesheet of a bunch of battle animations? If that's the case, it's not gonna work because you need to lay them out on a template.
Here are some - http://charas-project.net/resources.php?wa=0&lang=en&area=Battle_animations&howmany=10&fsearch=template
I'd reccomend using the bottommost one. Now, there are two different sizes of battle animation bitmaps: small and large. When you import in RM, make sure you're importing with the right one (I believe they are under the folders "Battle" and "Battle 2" or something like that). If it doesn't work in one, it should work in the other one. When the image pops up on screen, click the background color and make sure it's flashing because that will be the transparent color. I hope this helped.
EDIT: And about the charsets, I don't know where any are, but I'm sure there are some out on the web somewhere.
EDIT 2: That link probably won't work because of the break at the end. Just search template in the complete resources and go under battle animations to find them.

how do I change the normal attack animations? if you've ever played golden sun, you know how I need to make it look when they use a physical attack [attack normally with the attack command] do you know how I can change that?

You mean you want the character to move up to the enemy and attack instead of attacking the air in front of them? In the Items tab of the database, select a weapon, and then click the "Set" button and a new window will pop up. At the top of the window, there should be an option that says "Movement Before Attack". Change it to Move To Target.
Do that for all the weapons you need.

yes, but i also need to get the in-battle character sets to work, how do I change those?
