Title: Resigning
Post by: Osmose on April 14, 2006, 02:16:22 AM
General Programming is dead and no one wants to help revive it. And, frankly, I don't agree with the forum's methods of dealing with the recent influx of trolls. But they won't change, so I might as well leave the mod team.

It's kind of sad that we can be beaten down by worthless troublemakers.

Osmose. I'm with you on this. Just so you know.

Even though you're on of the people who continually fumbles the ball when someone provokes you?

Yes. It is full of holes and won't get anywhere.

You admit it?  Well, maybe there IS still potential left,  :)

We need a moding moose, seriously.

But, if General Programming is dead like you say, shouldn't your job be easier then?

I'd rather not be a token mod whose only purpose is to have access to the private forum and tell all the mods in private that I do or don't agree with the policies - I've been doing that via instant messaging for years.

Hahaha.

It's pretty much dead, HOWEVER...I program and I'd very much like to see it up and running again. In fact, I might start a RUBY language tutorial thing.

RUBY falls into the category of RPG Maker programming, doesn't it?
Either way, programming is a forum that requires no modding. Even if it was active, it's not a place for people to cause trouble. And if someone did, the global mods could you know.. delete that. Anyways I hope you enjoyed your orange name. I know I did.

Osmose, I know we haven't always seen eye to eye
but I have to say, I hate to see you go. I have to say I agree with your opinions you've had recently.

Well charas is basically built on rpg maker. If someone uses rpg maker, its more than likely that they don't know how to program, if they did, they wouldn't be using rpg maker :p

But anyway, I respect your decision. I think its honorable that you didn't want to be a mod just to be a mod.

If you did this because of charas current situation, I think you made a poor decision.

Ok. I don't really care if you have anything against me, just want to agree with everything Dragonblaze said. You did a good job, from what I saw.

Now that he mentions it, it was kinda pointless to assign a mod to a dead forum.

I guess Sai hadn't noticed. It was weird seeing Osmose in orange.

No, he knew. It was one of the reasons why he took so long to give it to me.

You guys just don't know what kind of crap the GM's have been through, they don't have time to deal with the Programming board.  But I agree that it doesn't really need a mod.

No, Trev, a good amount of us do. It's not that hard to take time out of your day and recognize that a forum has no new posts. That's basically all the job entails. I know. I had the job for awhile, if you haven't heard. :P

I agree, and sad to see you only mod for so short of time. I also agree with Dragonblaze. Thats all I am saying.
