Title: Trading Card Games

Anyone play any? I use to play Yu-Gi-Oh when it was new and then they banned all my best cards so I quit.. Now you can play Yu-Gi-Oh online. I'll try it out soon as I download the 600mb file. -.-

Yeah I play Magic the Gathering on a semi-pro level going to turnaments twice a month. I play both legacy and standard (current legacy deck is treshold control and current standard deck is enduring ideal).

When I was younger, I used to play just about every card games that were available at that time. Pokemon *sigh*, Magic The Gathering, Monster Rancher and Digimon.

The only card game I still play today is Magic The Gathering on a semi-professional level due to limited resources. As weird and crazy as it might seem, I'm the very first Pokemon Master of my city

I used to play Magic, but it got pretty boring when my good cards got stolen. (Legacy weapon, Jester's cap, Raven Guild master.) :(

I have a really good deck. But, guess what? I can't use it The entire deck's been banned. Why ban Mirrodin? WRY??

I figured if this is what's going to happen every time I get close to being good, I'm quitting it altogether.

Simply put, Mirrodin was vastly overpowered to the point of being able to win the game on the second turn. I see the banishment of Mirrodin as an opportunity for new strategies.

Easy for you to say. The cards I have cannot easily be made into a deck. They have too many different strategies. There is no common power among them.

Besides, most of my cards are before the "second era" as it's called. Back when Magic was more fun.

I have an un-banned deck, but it sucks. And that's the best I can do.

Power to the battering wurm (exspecially with three wurmweaver coils in the deck)!!!

Well if you really want a good deck don't just use the cards you've already got, look at some decklists from recent protours or grandprixs and trade or buy the needed cards, that's what I do. But of course if you're only playing casually and not participating in tournaments that's a lot of money and time to use on it.

Sometimes bright ideas come from experience. One of my deck was inspired by Ruel's Psychatog deck. Very fun.

Playing Magic The Gathering can get pricy so if you don't plan to play on a professional or semi-professional level, don't bother investing; you'll only waste your money.

Or you can just play byt the standard (type 2) format. It's very easy to gather type 2 decks only by trading and not having to buy anything. Just replace some of the really expensive cards like guildlands with painlands or basiclands and you can have a complete deck in a few weeks w/o buying anything.

I still have my Dragonball Z Deck. I still play DBZ with my friends and cousins but I don't buy new cards. My deck owns.. It's a orange Super 18 deck and I have a Kid Buu black deck.
I remember back in my Yu Gi oh days playing people for their deck. I never lost once, won 9 decks. (I still have them and they own)
I used a Exodia deck , then went from Exodia deck to a 1900+ no tribute, no magics, or traps, just equips deck. Then last.I played a magic deck and trap deck.  
I remember in my pokemon days, playing people for Pokemon. I use to play a fire deck. PLaying Pokemon is what made me make this topic, my firend's little sister wanted to play my old school deck.. now they have a bunch of bs rules but I still won.
I didn't really play magic that much, I sold magic cards. I had tons of promo cards, like the ones that are two cards and the really huge ones and the cards that are 2 in one.
I have over 6,000 magic cards. A long time ago in 7th grade, my friend lost my laser pointer, when they cost 50 bucks, so to pay for it he gave me all his magic cards.
Then in 9th grade this guy wanted my flash drive and I didn't need it.
I stole it from Wall-Mart anyways.
So he gave three bags of cards and the bags held 1 gallon of water.. So I have a bunch of cards. I should learn how to play.
I even tried out the Yu Yu Hakusho card game. It didn't last but it was fun.
The last card game I played was The Final Fantsy 8 one. Me and my friend bought some booster packs and played each other a few times. Now you can't even find them anywhere.

Thats why the unfinished set we worked on had like *checks folder* 5 cards. XD
I remember members making threads to attempt card games...which ended up with: "WHAT THE HELL!?! YOU CAN'T JUST BRING OUT SOME INVINCIBLE CARD NO ONE HAS SEEN BEFORE!!." Which also lead to mass flammings.

I've played:

Pokemon - 6 years - About 1,000 cards
Yu-Gi-Oh - 2 days - 0 cards
Dragonball Z - 2 weeks - 2 cards
Digimon - 30 minutes - -200 cards (I payed people to take them away)
Lord of the Rings - 1 month - 0 cards
Magic The Gathering - TBA - 1,500 cards

I currently play a little bit of Magic the Gathering (Prized card Stone-Tongue Basilisk [Tis not the best, but it was the very first card I have ever got from a pack, and, well, it's actually pretty decent])
I don't go to any tournaments, but I could if I wanted to.

tournaments suck where I live, they are held at this place called Top Deck and the room is kinda small. There's no windows.. and it smells like raw *** and wet dogs. Some guy comes in the room like every 30mins with a can of air freshener and sprays 1/4 of the bottle and there's nothing but grown men and little girls in the place.

I used to play Pokemn ona Yu-Gi-Oh!, but then it got boring when I moved and nobody around played either of them (well, by then I had gotten out of Pokemon...). I still have my Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, but the *good* Pokemon cards are gone without a trace...

I got so much into the pokemon card thing I stole a holographic charizard from this other kid. I gave it to my cousin a year later after I wasnt interested in Pokemon Cards anymore. He still loves me for that, even after he's out of the fad too.

Oh yeah, before that I was even stupider into it that I traded my gameboy color for an album full of pokemon cards (like 200-400).

Yeah... I was an idiotic fan.

Well, I quit playing most card games with my friends because all they did was use proxy's.  They had 4 Black Lotus's in their Magic Deck, and all these other "uber rare and impossible to get unless you got a hella lotta money to buy them", cards.

I was into Yu-Gi-Oh for 2 years and sold out almost all of my cards right before the movie came out. I got about $450 it was sweet.
Top sellers:
1.Exodia set with exodia necross.
2.Gate guardian with 3 parts.
3.Darkmagician girls with magician of black chaos.
4.My harpy deck(Had 3 harpy ladies 3 harpy's brother and 2 harpy's pet dragon and 3 harpy lady sister along with harpy powerups and other harpy helping wind cards.)
5.My water deck(a lot of lvl 4 water tyoes with 1500-1900 atack as well as legendary fisherman and this water lavaiatin I can't remember the name as well as a gravity bind and 3 land cards that made all water monsters -1lvl.)
6.Trap collection.(No one hardly won against me with it. I had mirror walls and magic cyliders it was awsome.)
7.My jackels (when he killed a monster put back ontop of deck very awsome and loved the 2 I had.)
8. Common cards for about 50 cents each.

I conpletly forogt about my toontown set of yugioh cards all holo and from packs not starter decks.

I also got into magic and dbz My dbz was unbeatable. Freestyle deck that lead up to a kidbuu  lvl4 And in magic i used dark element. My favorite card was this guy that looked like golum from Lord of the rings. (But now they collect dust in my colset or I trade them to the island kids for games.) I also have a tin packed to the rim with pokemon cards  and am waiting to get the chance to sell the entire set I got 2 kinds o charizard as well as blastoise all 3 of the ones from gold/silver version legendary birds/dogs  islandmew/ancientmew/mewtwo as well as a lot of promos and other rares.

I'm surem aybe atleast once or twice. God, it was like crack for kids. The school banned them when I was in 3rd and 4th grade cuz kids would pull them out and trade in them iddle of class. lol, teachers would turn around and notice the whole class is quiet, thinking they're behaving, and when she turns they're just wheelin' and dealin' pokemon cards.

I once had a fuckin' bucket full. Someone stole them tho. I was torn for days. XD

We could have, like a judge, who choses, say a certain amount of submitted cards to make a set, per month, and thus we would have a May 06 set, June 06 set, etc., etc., etc.

I've played MANY TCG's and made so many.  I've made a Beyblade, RPG Maker, Kirby, and several others.

I'll list them in chronological order of when I STARTED FIRST.  I've quit and restarted some so many damn times....

0. Pokemon: (Smo introduced me)
-Charizard / Venusaur deck
-Charizard only deck
-Blastoise / Articuno deck

1. Magic the Gathering (Smo introduced me to this one too)
-Black deck with Devouring Strossus (still my favorite card)
-Black Phyrexian deck
-White/Green with Symbiotic Wurm and Phantom Nishoboa
-Red/Black LAVA AXE! Muahahah.
*Currenly a random mix black deck

2. Digimon (Alex and Vincent intro'd me)
-Impossible to classify a Digimon deck. Too many various cards.

3. DragonBall Z (Again, Smo...)
-Young Gohan non-Tokui-Waza (I didn't ahve enough cards...)
-Piccolo Namekian deck (IT OWNED at the time)
-Orange Goten deck (Thank's to Chad)
-Saiyan adult Gohan deck (OWNED! Gohan got stolen though.)
*Now I play a Trunks (from Trunk saga) red physical beatdown. It does an average of +50 power stages per attack....lol.

4. YuGiOh (No idea who intro'd me...prolly Smo)
Played too many decks to name, I'll just anme the good ones.
-Archfiend deck that was built RIGHT
-Exodia (me and Smo both won at exactly the same time versus each others' Exodia decks)
MY PERSONAL FAVORITE: Gravekeeper deck! UNDEFEATED 76/0!

5. Started making my own TCGs.
-Beyblade
-Kirby
-RPG Maker
-Really weird one that I never finished
-Martial arts game almost EXACTLY like the new MortalKombat vs. StreetFighter TCG

6. Duel Masters (This game sucked. Dustin intro'd)
Mix deck. I never bothered to buy ANY. Though I ahve like 30 rare-*** rpomos and a Bolshack dragon.

7. Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter [Epic Duels] (Found it working for Blockbuster)
-Sub-Zero MK deck. %$#@ Street Fighter.

There were others that I may have played randomly, but that's about it.  I did play FF8's Triple Triad for a while, and I had Shiva, Irvine, Cactaur, some bee thing, Funguar, Ifrit, Mog, and some dog thing.  NO IDEA where the hell those are.  I remember picking up some packs once but they're extinct now.  I do remember remaking the game and printing the cards out so Smo, Chad, me and my friends could play at school. Fun times.

Smo, should I make Tetra Master? Or whatever the hell the FF9 game is...

Actually, I've been workin on it for 2 months now. I've only gotten the FE7 set worked on though.
