My father recently gave me RPG Maker 2003 and I've been having lots of fun with it. I've run into a problem, though, and I can't seem to fix it.
I have read through all the "faq"'s and tried nearly everything, and this chipset I have still doesn't work. Every time I try to import it into the game, I still get the "invalid image size." I downloaded UFX and tried that, I've renamed the file tons of times, I've changed all kinds of properties, and it still doesn't work. It's not one I made, either; it's one I downloaded off a site. All the other files I've gotten there have worked, so I seriously do not understand why this one doesn't. Please, someone take pity on a n00b female gamer and help me out? <3 I've attached the file here.
I don't care how stupid this makes me. Please, someone just make the stupid thing work!
-
that sounds odd. I was able to import it without any tinkering.
-
Likewise. Are you importing it under the "ChipSet" heading in the Importer?
-
Uh... I think it actually IS the wrong size. I'm just eyeing it here, but it looks a bit too wide... Check its dimensions and make sure it's correct, because even one pixel off and it won't work.
-
looks a bit too tall to me, and possibly to wide
-
No, it's correctly sized. Chipsets are 480 X 256.
-
Tis works for me aswell...
Sometimes however, just putting the file into the game through inserting it into the chipset folder wherever it is installed helps. I did that with mine, a few worked, other didn't. Try this only if you cannot import it, however.

Works.
He might very well be trying to put it in the "Charset" section. That's what I think.
-
have you tried adding it to the musci section?, if not and your not sure how, heres what you do.......
-
I'm pretty sure you just told him to go to the 'music' section. Try not to confuse the guy _sweat_

sorry my bad, fixed it, i must have been thinking about something else at the time, sorry if there was any confusion
