Title: MUSICAL OPINION
Post by: Revolution911 on June 18, 2006, 10:54:41 PM: Okay man, what the ****. (Notice: Wrote it out and didnt type wtf, I mean buisness. Ah Im kiddin')

It seems like every time someone brings up music, someone has to say "Rap sucks." Dude, c'mon. Even if you dont like it, respect opinion man. Like, it cant even be a "Eh, I dont really like it." It has to be put in a way that one of the 3 Hip-Hop lovers on this forum of 20,000 people gets offended. Which in turn, when they try to defend their music, every other member lashes out at them. Even if you have listened to what some call "real" hip-hop and still dont like it, respect opinion.

Edit: ...But er...when it comes to that R. Kelly song.."Feelin' on yo Booty"....yeeaaahhh...that sucked.

First off, let me correct you...R.Kelly's ''feeling on your booty'' is NOT rap. That is r & b. So please, don't confuse the two :jest: Also, I actually like rap..but then again I like all types of music so....yeah. I want someone to give me supporting facts that show all rappers do is talk about ***, sex, drugs, money, ***, and more sex. Please do, give me a long list of names and songs. I will kindly rip your post to shreds while defending rap with a smile, ^^.

Yeah, ya retard, it is, it's just a different type of music. But it swings both ways, plenty of people in my school hate rock and think every single rock song is just screaming idiots, loud guitars, and banging drums. People seriously need to learn to be more open and make their own opinions NOT based on biased stereotypes.

Its this gangsta rap **** that sucks, and thats my opinion. If you think rap is good, and I say it sucks balls, by all means tell me that rock sucks. I really don't care. Rock rules, but you can say whatever you wanna say, that's the beauty of freedom of opinion.

But I will say 90s and 00s rap sucks caaaawwwwkkkkk!!!

The 80s was so much better. These days you got so many rap "artists" who all sound terrible, I shudder at the mere mention of their name. Back in the 80s it was a lot better.

See, it couldn't be about them getting sex, drugs and money.. Becuase the only real thing they could get is drugs.. and it seems like they already got them a while back... Same goes for hip-hop.. YUCK.

But what I can't stand is (how me and my friends call it) Niggah-Rap, or Getthomuszick. Rappers like Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and the likes, that's what I don't like. I'm not a fan of RnB and not a fan of classical music or most electronic. Also Hip Hop is far down on my list, but there are some songs I can listen to and actually like. "Hey ya" from "Outkast" and there was one with P. Diddy, Lil John and another dude which I liked.

But I think that we can agree on my opinion of that Mainstream Hip Hop sucks.

So? The point is that they also use rap in their music.

Most people seem to put Hip Hip rappers of as rap, but rap is just the style of how the lyrics are brought into the music. Linkin Park also uses rap.

And Nu Metal, I don't care. I like it, I find it Rap-rock.

Possibly my favourite post ever. Merely because of the irony.
