Title: Legality of using the sprites
Post by: atiaxi on June 23, 2006, 12:24:18 AM
Hi all,

  I just discovered this page today, and I'm pretty blown away; the sprites that can be made with this really blow away my poor 32x32 hand-drawn little guys :)

  That said, I'd like to use sprites made with Charas (and/or Charas.EX) in my game (which will be released under the GPL) and I was wondering:

  * Is this okay? and,
  * Are there any extra requirements?  (e.g. I have no problems giving credit where it's due)

 I -think- it's just necessary to give credits, as the Charas generator was made with the sole purpose of giving RPG makers best charsets. Links to this site if you have a webstire to your game would also be appreciated. And of course, a big, bold text with capital letters saying
 "GRANDY IS AWESOME!" at the end of the credits.

I COMPLETLY agree with this.

And yes, it is legal, but give credit if you do in fact use it.  And if you feel really up to it, give credit to each individual who's resource you borrowed.

Just like I did with Charas Breakout DX, I only went a bit too far in that...
