Each race has it's strategy - Zergling Rush, Protoss Cannons to guard you while you get up to Carrier-level, or Terran's more or less balanced growth.

When me and my friends LAN we usually play Brood war. I remember a while ago when me and a dude were so into fighting each other that we didnt mind the third player, since he kinda sucks anyway. Tho you dont have skill to build around 80 goliaths, so he did and totally kicked our *** when we had crippled each others ^^
