Title: Missed it, paying for it.
Post by: X_marks_the_ed on July 15, 2006, 02:51:28 PM: I've been told that I don't really like being with others just because I don't quote Family Guy every second of my life and I usually miss watching it on Sunday. They say I purposely am trying to be out of a conversation.

This also happened when Invader Zim came out. I miss an episode, and I pay for it the rest of the day. Why is that today television determines your position among others?

Also, I was ignored just because I didn't sign up for a certain play.

Has anything like this ever happened to any of you? Such as not attending a game or something? Just by missing something, you are forgotten?

I dunno, some people quoted Family Guy in high school when it came out, mostly middle schoolers and stuff. God damn middle schoolers. You know what is is about them? It's the TUDE. Seriously, asking me if I have a penis and then laughing when I pull out my belt? WHAT IS THAT?!? FUCK OFF! I DON'T KNOW YOU! That's why I started beating up those little pukes. Firstly, they're tiny and I can easily beat up 10 of them at once, and B, they're assholes.

Uhm... yeah so if you have to do stupid shit like watch a TV show to fit in with your friends, they aren't your friends. And if they stand around talking about Family Guy everyday, they are useless lazy wetbacks and should swim back to Mexico.

I see it more of a way of bringing it to the bigger public. Most thing I watch or watched haven't been seen by the general public here.
I also see it as a way of honoring something so good it sticks in your mind.

Months are approx. 30 days.

60 mins / 30 days = 2 minutes per day. I watch the equivelent of 2 minutes per day.

By the way, you people are acting as though television is the only topic in this thread. The television shows were just examples.

I'm talking about missing the big game of the school, notundertsanding a joke, or anything else beyond your control that others think less of you because you missed.

I play games and watch anime and play on the pc all day, and my ex friends ditch me cause I wasnt up in the conversations about cloths or activities, or shopping, etc...

So I guess it sucks either way you have it. I have yet to see anyone in these parts get mad about missing an ep of anime or tv, etc.
