Title: Weapon
Post by: Ender_Xenocide on July 15, 2006, 09:54:05 PM
Ok sorry if this question or something like it has been asked before, but i've searched for it, and couldn't find it. I need help with making a weapon that heals life equal to the damage you deal with it. Thanks

Hello Mrmr. I just tried out your method and that didn't work, so, uh... Yeah.

It's impossible to target your heroes with weapons, so a weapon that heals your allies cannot be done in RPG Maker. However, to heal monsters, create a "Cure" attribute that has -100 in the E slot. Set every monster's Cure resistance to E, but set undead monsters to A or something.

Dude, I have no idea to be honest. I've never gotten creative with the 2k3 DBS.

Couldn't you set the attack to a negative value?

nope...

...but it requires a lot of custom coding and math. If you still want it, post here.

You can't attack your own party members? Well thats another feature my cbs has that the dbs doesn't.

Maybe you could just have it so that if that weapon is equiped, you learn a weak cure or something that doesn't require any mp. Then when you remove the weapon, you forget the skill. You could also set the attack to 0 or the hit probability to 0, that way you couldn't really use the weapon to attack enemies.

Why would you want to attack your own party members?

Unless you include that one countdown move from FF7.

Attacking them can stop confusion, or kill them so effects like bezerk (sp?) and petrify end, if you don't have esuna.
