Title: Can you sell games made with Charas.ex sprites?
Post by: mageknight53 on July 19, 2006, 11:53:58 PM
Are you allowed to sell a game with sprites from Charas.ex? I need a clarification. If it's an open collaboration, you can, right?

The graphics don't matter, the program used to make the game does.

No offense, but I highly doubt any game made with RPG Maker is ever going to be sold - no one's going to pay for it.

I think he is just using the sprites for some other game.

I'm using Game Maker 6.1.
My game is called Alyssa Valentine. You play as a bad*ss chick who has to save the world from an evil organization (with no name yet). You need to keep them from getting hold of the DNA of a powerful alien creature. If they get the DNA and create the creature, the whole world is screwed. :P

Yeah man, you'd have better luck doing this.

Well, I can hardly find it good to make a profit off it. I mean, if world_creator isn't going to make a profit off of Mechanized Warfare, a game coded by hand, then why should you make a profit off of a game made in Gamemaker? It would seem rather unfair to those who code games by hand as a freeware project.
