Title: Woo, car crash
Post by: WarxePB on August 22, 2006, 11:31:45 PM
Not that it really matters or anything, but I was in an accident this morning.
I had some stuff I wanted to do which required me to drive around, so I borrowed my mom's van. After dropping her off at work, I was going back home, when I had the genius idea of taking a gravel road rather than my usual way home. They were cleaning off the road that day, leaving a massive grater ridge in the middle of the road. I hit the ridge and lost contol of the van, which proceeded to roll twice and landed in the ditch (upright). But luckily for me, I had my seatbelt on, so I didn't lose consciousness or anything. A man (one of the cleaning crew, I'm assuming) phoned the ambulance, and they took me to the hospital. There, I got checked out, but all they needed to do was put iodine on some cuts on my leg - other than that, I was pretty much uninjured. So I came home, had a bath and a nap, then some supper, and now I'm writing this.

So yeah, so far, I feel okay, other than being sore. I'm probably gonna be pretty stiff tomorrow, but that shouldn't impede me from being on here (unless my arms explode or something). But if I seem to be a bit scatterbrained, that's probably why.

Hopefully, I'll get some pictures of the van later on.

Well I'm glad you're not hurt bad or anything.

20 years from now, I bet you'll laugh about this.

20 years? I'd give it a week.

Well, it's good to hear you didn't get hurt. What would Charas do without good ole Warxe?

Or his parents will because they'll make him pay them for the damages. "Oh yeah, remember when you totalled the van? Yeah, I think you have enough money to pay up now. :D"

But yeah, like I said earlier, it's just good that you didn't get injured. The moral of this story: Always where a seatbelt kaids.

I'm laughing about it already, actually. (Haha, Dren loses too)

About 8 or 9 years ago, we had a green Pontiac car (don't remember the make) that was running like a piece of crap. Conveniently, we hit a deer on our way to my grandpa's place, and the damage was enough that the government guys gave us money for it, but we were still able to drive it to the nearest town and get picked up.
Also, just over a year ago, we had a red Ford Aerostar that was also a piece of crap, and my mom conveniently ran into the back of a bus, which again got us some cash to buy a new vehicle (the green van that I just destroyed today). But in the second case, my mom had a mild case of whiplash, and she had to have regular chiropractor adjustments for almost a year afterwards.
And this time, the van (green Pontiac TransSport) was in good condition, but there were a bunch of little problems that prevented us from selling it and getting a car instead.

Yeah, we're gonna get some money back for it, but I don't know how much. My mom already has a new car in mind, and it's only $3000, so even if we don't get that, we can always borrow some from my grandpa or something.

Seatbelts only prevent you from being thrown to safety. <_<

Glad you're okay though.

There are a lot of crashes like that here. I'm glad to know you're alright. You're one of the nicest mods I've seen on a forum.

edit*I need a spell check option. It's missing. I need to stop editing my posts.

My mom was in a car crash recently, too. The car was totalled, and she's still in a bit of pain, about a month after...but, we're cool.

Those bastards at the insurance didn't give us anything, though! I'm gonna have to break the rules of chivalry....

....ON THEIR SKULLS!!! *spamlas*
