first of all, i know it doesn't work right, the odds are off, because there is only one 7, one 8, etc. I'll add these later.
ANyhoo, I make the chip be an item. I make 11 items. "Chip on 2" is an item, so is chip on 3, all the way up to "Chip on 12". I make 11 variables. If chip on 3 wins, there are two chips on 3 now, thanks to "temp3" variable. But in reality "chip on 3" is 1 and temp variable is 1. When the guy leaves the table, we make temp3 into chips, so he can see his winnings for real.
I also had to add 11 switches. If chip on 3 wins there is a choice, keep chip on, or take winnings. there are then 11 switches called let3ride, let4ride, etc.
ok, so it works pretty well. He buys the chips from one guy, goes to another guy to shoot craps, then goes to a third guy to cash in ( otherwise he'd get half his value on the chips, you buy the chips for 5 and sell for 2...)
Now, I'm all patting myself on the back and I realize I cannot
buy 3 chips and put them on 3 at the start. The game only recognizes the first "chip on 3" item. I've been trying to figure out a fork condition so that I could make the game see the player has 3 chips, not just one. Could I send someone my code?
I have only been doing code for 1 month and this is my first forum question. I think someone will say I need my chips to be a variable, but hopefully they can just tweak my code a little, it's nice to have the chips be an item, to buy the chips from the guy with the suit.
