Title: Snakes in a thread!
Post by: Razor on August 26, 2006, 08:10:28 AM
Just came back from seeing the movie. And it was AWESOME.

Me and Weregnome saw it and it was everything it should've been. Anyone who said it was B-grade or sucks SUCKS. That was legendary. Even the parts that might seem a bit bad (the CGI in some parts) is totally overlooked because it's awesome.
Best movie this year. **** you, Pirates 2.

It has humour, language, violence, sex, other?, as well as pure awesomeness. Yeah. It totally rocks.

I gives it 10 Snakes out of a plane (with the capacity of 10 snakes).

A must see.

It was beautiful. I had a mental orgasm 5 million times. It makes A-Grade look like z-Grade. The movie was brilliant. Suspense, sex (yaya for boobs), violence, "fuck" shitloads of times, snakes, a big plane, and the mother-****ing god himself Samuel L. Jackson. I could rant about its glory.... but we already know. Captain Jack ain't got **** on Neville Flynn!

all's fair in love and war. I want to see it because it's Samuel L. Jackson yelling and shooting at people.

Pulp Fiction anybody?

I want to go see it badly.

Sounds like it's great for a date...

Oh, and I am tired of these Mother******* sandwiches, on this mother******* forum.

It's nice. Vey nice. About 5 very sensitive parts of the human anatomy get bitten by snakes in due course of the movie.

Guess which ones! :D

I was gonna see it, but then I crashed my van. :(

Oh well, there's always the bus.

I was gonna see it simply because an Eragon trailer was suppoed to be attached to it, but that got bumped back, so I'm not gonna go see iit. Maybe when it comes out on DVD I'll rent it.

Seriously, "snakes on a plane", the name gives away the whole movie right there. Is there anything else to the plot? If not, I'm not gonna waste my time seeing it.

There are muthahfuckin' snakes on the muthahfuckin' plane.

What more could you ask for?

It's got a lot of everything, and trust me, you'll be missing out if you don't go. The title is a lot better than what they were going to have it as "Pacific Flight 261" or whatever. I wouldn't have wanted to see it really.

Pacific Air 121, I believe.

I'm seeing it in a week. This has me excited. :)

I'm still skeptical, the whole idea and name of 'snakes on a plane' kinda remindes me of one of those crappy scifi original movies with no real plot, bad acting, and shity CG. I'll give it a shot though. I'm meeting an old friend tomarrow for lunch, we'll probally end up doing something afterwards, so I might go then.

It wasa fricking awesome.
And even Holly, person I went to see it with, liked it.
And shes not into stuff like that.

Still. Fricking awesome. Yeah. Bwah!

If I'm not mistaken, the story involves a war. There's a spy going on a plane back home, when some terrorist guy unleashes dozens of snakes. Onto the plane. Wow. Scary. I mean, their not even anacondas. It's field rattlers and stuff. (at least this is what was in the newspaper)

Storyline sounds like it sucks. I think,"Pacific Air 121," sounds a lot cooler, also. I'm defininitely not going to see it.
Title:
Post by: Razor on August 28, 2006, 04:22:39 AM
Man, you don't know **** about the storyline.

minus a few thousand respect points for all things muffin.
Title:
Post by: Robotam Plus on August 28, 2006, 05:43:15 AM
Actually there is one anaconda. And the movie is awesome.
Title:
Post by: EXO Muffin on August 28, 2006, 07:59:03 AM
No, no, I don't know anything about the storyline. That's just what I remember about the article in the newspaper, and I often get things mixed up. Like I always say,"Ascurirugo," instead of,"Ascuro Scuro." If I actually paid attention to stuff, I wouldn't be me. Grr...I was really trying to build up those respect points for muffins...

I just don't find killer snakes thrilling, though...except for maybe,"ANACONDAS," because they were gigantic and fangy and could eat you and were multiplying. I'm glad that there's at least one anaconda. They probably saved it for last as the,"boss," or something that they have to battle with broken pipes/crowbars/whatever can resemble a sword but never is one.

I'm really sorry for aggravating anyone with this...I guess opinions can't be expressed, even on the internet...I really like this place, though... :violin:

Wikipedia-

The storyline of the film is credited to Dalessandro, a University of Pittsburgh administrator and first-time Hollywood writer, who got the idea in 1992 from a nature magazine. "I read about the Indonesian brown tree snake climbing onto planes in cargo during World War II". He originally wrote the screenplay about the brown tree snake loose on a plane and called it "Venom". He soon revised it to be about poisonous snakes, and then crediting the film Alien revised it again to include "lots of them loose in the fuselage of a plane."

Quote
Wikipedia-

After witnessing the brutal murder of a prosecutor by gangster Eddie Kim (Byron Lawson) and his band of thugs, Sean Jones (Nathan Phillips) is escorted by FBI agents Neville Flynn (Samuel L. Jackson) and John Sanders (Mark Houghton) to testify in a highly-publicized case in Los Angeles. Despite increased security for the flight, Kim arranges for time-release crates full of venomous snakes to be placed in the cargo hold of the plane, a Boeing 747-400 (although the interior used features spiral stairs, typically found in the -100 and -200 models of the 747), on which Jones will be flying from Honolulu to Los Angeles. The leis given to the passengers by airport staff upon their departure had been secretly sprayed with pheromones to make the snakes more aggressive in an attempt to bring down the plane before it reaches its destination.

See? I just got what the newspaper said mixed up. Since it said,"during...War..." I thought it took place there. He was a,"spy," because he witnessed something and was feeding it to the government. A gangster that deploys snakes onto a plane is often considerred a,"terrorist," you know? He's bringing terror, ain't he?

Yeah, because I'm pretty sure anacondas are water-dwelling. They wouldn't survive at that altitude.

I think you wouldn't survive a mothafucking plane filled with mothafucking snakes! Or me, the "realistic"-critic killer. It's a movie, you watch movies because they're fake. If it was real, it would be boring. Like those "based on real life" movies, excluding some.

I finally saw it.  It was funny, well I don't think the parts I laughed at were meant to be, but I guess it's same, right?

What was really funny what watching all the people jump like idiots in the theater. That **** was hilarious.  This one old lady almost stood up.

Wussies.

They should try watching The Descent in a dark teather late at night. That's a hell lot worse.

The Descent looks like it sucks. It really overuses blood, too. The thing that REALLY makes horror movies scary is the music. It's freaking creepy!

The Descent is finally a good horror you barbarian. Sure, it had a low budget. But it's actually scary at points. And sure, the music makes it creepy, but that's just a part of it. You can have creepy music and a crappy scene and it wouldn't be scary at all.
Title:
Post by: Moosetroop11 on September 03, 2006, 08:40:56 AM
Not true at all drace. You could put absolutely any scene to a really creepy piece of music and it would be creepy, because you'd think something was about to happen. :p
Title:
Post by: Razor on September 03, 2006, 09:24:17 AM
I would like to make my life like that.
*walks into kitchen*
*goes to cupboard*
*SCARY MUSIC*
*PULLS OUT CEREAL, POURS BOWL*
*goes to get milk*
*SCARY MUSIC*
*SUCCEEDS TO GET MILK, POURS MILK*
That would be awesome.

I stand by my point! If the music was creepy enough, and kept building pressure, razor's cereal would be creepy.

It would not be! Audio isn't the only thing that matters! The visual and acting must be good too otherwise it entirely ruins the overall sfere of the scene.
