Well during work today, we were called to receiving. A police officer was there, and he was pretty frank: ' there has been a possible murder on (will not state road).' We were interviewed as a group and our details taken. After work we had a look down the road. majority of the road was blocked off, we saw detectives at work down the street. We spoke to a witness whose husband and their neighbour tried to revive the man who died. Apparantly he had a wound to the head. Its either he fell or he was killed. It happened at 9pm. Somehow, I don't think it was simply a falling over incident. Man, my area is getting worse. I mean, over a year ago you heard hardly any problems. Now, there I hear stuff about abductions (sp?), possible murder, gang fights, shoot outs and car chases. its getting scary, I can tell you I was pretty freaked out.

That is scary. What happened to him? Was his scull crushed or something?
-
My area is getting worse as well. Both of them.
-
Everywhere is getting worse.
The problem is overpopulation. When there are too many people in an area, theres more conflict, and with conflict comes problems. The same thing happened to my cats. We live on a farm, and we had about 3 cats that lived outside. Well they just kept on multiplying and multiplying, then, when there was too many of them, they started killing eachother off, they got desieses, and in the end, only one cat survived.
But yeah, just be careful.

...Well...I live in Wyandanch so...I've seen worse.

I saw we bust open my weapon room, grab all we can get and fight overpopulation.
Also, my neighbourhood's getting better.

Sounds scary. I get tons of murders, car chases, and all that in my area.
On the topic of car chases: isn't it just ironic how police tell people on TV where they're laying the traps and where the suspect is going? I mean, if he has a TV in his car...

Hey, I'm like a 6 minute bus ride from LA. **** happens everywhere. Hell, one time at school, a bunch of guys pushed a kid in front of a truck.

You wanna know what town is really scary?

Boy oh boy is that getting old XD

You think your town is bad, my town still has Sun-Down/Jim Crow Laws....
Thankfully I am not a minority.
-
For the most part I live in a safe town. My problem comes from knowing people who live in a bad place. Those places aren't scary, but they do get a bad reputation.
I live near East St. Louis as most of my dad's family lives there. East St. Louis has a bad reputation here for being a scary place. In the school especially, it's the place you use if you want to make a joke about "having you car stolen" or "getting into a gunfight." I feel like I visit there every weekend. Sure I've seen some fights happen, and maybe a gun once, but for the most part it's not scary.
Now downtown St. Louis will scare the HELL out of you. The bigger city is why Eastside has a bad reputation. The murders, gunfights, and gangfights come from here, but they blame the happenings of the city on East St. Louis.
I guess I'm trying to say, that stuff like this doesn't scare me. I think it's because I'm used to living in "dangerous" places. Gangmembers...they're actually friendly unless you deliberatly try to offend them. Gun...tell the cops and just get away. Drugs...I don't do them.
I'd say only serial killers who repeatedly attack an area in a short amount of time would scare me. I guess that happens if you're in a minority. This is the stuff I get outta life. :)

It could be worse. I've lived in a terrible neighborhood before "moving" to where I am now. I still visit my old neighborhood every once in a while, and I'm finally noticing what a bad neighborhood it was! We've had a total of three "lockdowns" in that neighborhood in the 10 years I've lived there, and it hasn't even made me flinch until now! Kinda creepy when you're oblivious... Anywho, hope it's only bad by a new bad perspective and not bad by a really bad perspective (boy, is that hard to comprehend or what?), and I hope the police bust some balls before it becomes a place where the cops don't show up. Hmm... Until eight years ago, I've never even seen a cop car...
EDIT: Say WHAT?!!! Apex, where the fuck do YOU live?!!
-
Man, where I first lived in Denver was horrible. The area had its own assigned cop cruiser. Hell, I knew a crack dealer that lived there. Had a few drive bys from mexicans with sawed offs like a months before we moved there.
-
That is eerily similar to how Megaten games start.. if you see a long faced half-pint purple monster. Run!
But yeah, it's gotten bad here as well.
-
I've witnessed a guy getting killed with a knive and that was in my backyard... i have a woods in back aswell as a lake.
*spamlas*
It's been bad here though.
"Ghosts" _ghost_ _ghost_ have been sited here. I don't believe that though.

By what witnesses you saw the bottom said, blood covered his entire forehead. By what we could make out was that he eiother fell, had his head repeatedly hit into a tree, or be hit with a baseball bat.
The problem with were the crime occured is that my neighbourhood is covered in parks, and at 10pm, seeing people in em is hard. plus these park areas go everywhere, so the likelyhood of finding him is squat.
I apparantly found out todady that the guy who died may ahve been the guy known for hijacking cars. If it was him, then that makes sense why he is dead.

drugs don't bother me so much. I've had history with drugs (not me personally taking them) so its not a problem. I've just grown accustomed to no violence, so these sort of things unnerve me.

I just found out that the guy... just died....
He walked outside and was doing something when bam... just dead. He hit his head when he collapse, splitting his head open.
-
Wait, so, there was no bad people? He died mysteriously, and all head trauma was post-mortem? Crazy town.
