Title: Dodgeball

I just remembered something.

We had to work out in the weight room in Gym today, for the upteenth time. Today I asked My gym coach if we would ever get to play dodgeball. He told me the principal banned it because of "social standards among students."

At first I thought NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, but I came to realize why they got rid of it. I think it's a stupid reason. To me it's a fun game. No I'm not the best at it, but I loved playing it.

I LOVE dodgeball. Especially the variation we would play, Warball. Same thing, except you'd use basketballs, soocer balls and dodgeballs, and after about three people on one team are left, it becomes free roam. Painful shite.

That was a provate school though, they can do whatever they want. My school here tells me that its because the students here are basically assholes. Like they'd aim for the small chicks and hit her in the head. Uncool **** like that.

I haven't played it for at least 6 years.

I lOOOOOOVED dogeball! I used like, matrix EVERY SHOT! I got to chuck balls at girls I liked, and take hits for others I liked as well! I gotta ask my gym teach if we can do that!

I can't throw a ball for the life of me, but I'm impossible to hit. I find it really funny to watch my team mates all get out and then have the other team get all pissed because they had to spend 7 minutes just to get the last guy out.

Duh. They are normally the 'biggest' (lol, pun) threat. If it were between a dude that poses no threat and can't throw a ball well, or a dude that constantly hits bullzeyes, who are you going to try and get out first?

I take no offense, DB. I am a big person, yet I am very hard to hit...usually the second to the last or last out. Like MIC though, I cannot throw worth a ****.

Well over here, dodgeball doesn´t exist... But we go two different games that remind alot of dodgeball.

One where there is free-for-all, grab the ball, you´r not allowed to walk with it and just throw it. But you can blo0ck the balls with your hands and head. Oh yeah it is one of those fluffballs filled with...Foam(sp?). On other words, unless you throw hard, they wont hurt. When hit you walk of the field and wait til the person who hit you get hit, then your back in.

And then there is this team based one. Cut the field in half, one team on one half and the other on the other half. BUT at ther far back you get to put one of the oppodite team, like a backstabber really, with limited walking place of course.
You can pass the ball, you can shoot the ball but you can´t move with the ball unless you are the only player left on the field.
If you are hit, you run over to the place were your other teammates are, behind the opposite team hitting them from behind. And when everyone on the field is out, victory. And you use a softball here too.

Ah, dodgeball. Memories of war parties of 12 fighting each other a few years back. Haven´t played it for 2 years now I think. I loved it. I was hard to hit and good throw fairly good. Also, I loved being the last man standing of my team.

Not me. Thats when the coach would call free run and the remaining 12 guys on the other team would drill me with basketballs...

Ouch. I can understand a soccerball but even that's pushing it. A basketball? Sure it's a little easier to catch but damn, you'll have little dots put into your face.

Again, I'm not the best, but I am decent at everything. If you're allowed to catch in the game, I'm usually the guy who runs out in front first trying to catch stuff.

It's fun when you're going up against a quarterback or a pitcher. They almost cry when you get them out. XD

I think the general concensus is that if you're on Charas, you can't throw.

I can attest to that, I do that too, except when I get a ball I give it to someone who CAN throw it.. Or I try and usually fail..

I love dogdeball, but my schools (yes, schools. Been to far too many in my lifetime) have banned it due to the fact that some kids occasionally get bruises from playing. Now, the only time I ever get to play it is when I can get at least four or five friends together to play an interesting varient in the street. Too bad my friends don't usually gather all at once while outside of school...

I can throw, and I'm a girl.  :p I love teh dodgeball, haven't played it since Jr. high tho. *shrugs* And basketballs don't hurt.. try getting hit in the face by a volleyball, that hurts like a motha. *Note: I was sleeping at the time, :P* And soccer balls are heavier then basketballs,  :dry: (Or at least the ones we used to play were ) I hate soccer. The closest thing our school gets to playing dodgeball is playing massive games of wallball with a tennis ball and all sorts of special, painful rules. I think our version of wallball is far more dangerous than dodgeball!

My gay arse school only plays dodgeball with little foam balls that barely go 20 mph. But thats better than nothing. Its sick when you take a shot for a girl you like and then they hang out with you for the rest of the year :happy:

I remember the old elementry days, but my school had a different version forgot what it is called tho.
You get positioned like vollyball, and hald a certain are u only can go in, and the people who r out can throw the ball if the ball goes out of bounds. I was pretty good, i just remembered aim low  :D

Dinkler and I have something in common. The last few times, I've had a lapse of reason and took a shot for a few different girls. Though, I got told off, them saying they can take care of themsselves.

I m good but i am not as agile as i was in middle school. I'm 18 now but not fat mind you! I just tire quickly.
