Title: The Vatican's goin up in flames

In case you haven't heard, some comments made by Benedict XVI have sparked a major firestorm in the Islamic world. I don't remember where I heard it, but there were even threats of putting suicide bombers in the Vatican, and several Catholic churches have been bombed around the world.

What are your opinions on this? Personally, I don't think Benedict needs to apologize, because he was right in saying what he said. As my teacher put it, "the terrorists have hijacked the faith, and are using it as a reason to go to war with the world." What's the point of having a religion if it has no meaning other than war?

One thing I want to ask: Keep the religious debates and America out of this thread. We have plenty of those arguments on the forum.

 Because I think the Pope, more than anyone else, shouldn't discuss religion. He is the head of the church, act like that, act like the head of the church, and forget about the other religions.

 Geez, I don't see Buddhists going all against Mohammad, why should the christans?

I know a couple of girls in this religion. One wears the hujab or whatever it's called, and one doesn't.

I don't believe the religion is evil, nor do I believe either religion (Christianity or Islam) is better than the other.

There are just some radical nutjobs out there who are poor and bored, and think killing everything works.

Look at the Crusades. Christianity at it's finest._sweat_

Muslims are using their religion for bad stuff, yes they are. But these can´t be taken as a representation of the real religion, these are fu.ckheads that manipulate people into doing whatever they want. Nor can these acts of terror be taken as a motive to crush other countries or destroy a religion.

HOW TO MAKE PROPER POSTS ON A FORUM.

LESSON ONE:

Write the entire words, not some shortcut. Example:

Don't write somthn, write something.
Don't write othr, write other.
Don't write U, write you.
Don't write cuz, write because or cause of.


LESSON TWO:

Using punctuation is important. You seem to be familiar with it, but try to improve it and use the spacebar too. Example:

Not "I never heard some of the muslim holy men talk bout christians or othrs.Its not the religions fault that some use it in war against othrs."

BUT "I've never heard of Muslim holy men talking about Christians or others. It's not the religions fault that some use it in war against others."


LESSON THREE:

Using an enter once or twice makes the wall of text seem smaller and easier on the eyes. Thus making it easier for lazy, dyslextic or visually handicapped people to read it.

I will give an example by rewriting your post. Please use these three simple lessons to improve your overall writing.

Religious radicalist's are terrible in any manner, no matter association. But from experience the catholic radicalist's are less violent than the average muslim radicalist. Catholics will hold signs saying "No Fags" to protest. Muslim radicalists just blow everyone up. To say that you have never heard a muslim say something negative about catholicism or christianity just shows that you haven't even seen enough to understand what you're saying. I'm sure that if israelies had flown a plane into a building or blown up a train in another country we'd be pissed. It's the fact that instead of keeping it amongst themselves, they decided they had to kill people outside the conflict.

Because there are two things in the drawing well. Art, and pictures. Art is expressing things using images which make you look at it for a while to get the meaning behind it that the artist is trying to express.

Pornographic images, hentai or otherwise are nothing more than someone trying to please the male (and sometimes female) masses. And getting paid for it too.

Religion is art. Most of the early sculptures and paintings we know of were of religion. The ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, the majority of their works involved the gods. Any art historian (Like my mother, for instance) will tell you that many of the old works were created to honor the peoples religion.

Yeah the goat was Zeus  :p there was another one who was screwed by a golden shower (Also Zeus). Also, we don't really know if drawings from the past was created for um.. ya know or whatever. People of the past were waaaaaaay more open with sex then we are today.

 Then he and he son set flight, his son flied too near the sun (or the God something-or-another, you can't expect me to remember every of them) and his wings melted and he fell into the ocean where he suffered a terrible, terrible death.
 Soon after that Teseus was to be thrown into the labyrinth, but seduced the king's daugher (who was normal, mind you) and got a rope and a sword. With the sword he killed the minotaur, and he found his way back by using the rope, which he tied at the entrance.
 And everyone was happy forever, least for king Minos, who was slain by Teseus soon ater that, Icarus, who was dead, and Posseidon, who couldn't make his BBQ.

Yeah, there was some Japanese wood block thing of a chick getting nailed by an octopus. From that point, Japan was destined to be the creepy yet awesome country it is today.

Sure hentai was created for gratification, but I'm pretty sure those greeks enjoyed sculpting nipples. Like, a lot. Pretty much every sculpture.

On the terms of the actualy topic, the Pope stated that the Islamic God preaches violence... then to retaliate, the Islamic people have a violent riot and threaten to kill the Pope.. hmm... to I smell irony and the end of the world? I agree with Benedict. I think that the peaceful islamics should stop those who are showing the world a violent religion. I think, that if this is done, the current problems we would have would be over...
