Title: Bomb Threat
Post by: DragonBlaze on September 19, 2006, 05:33:49 PM
So yeah, for lunch today I went to a near-by subway, when I come back and go to psycology, my princapal gets on the intercom and says something like "Attention students, I need you to listen very carefully because this is really important, all students and staff must leave the building imediatly, all juniors and seniors are to report to the middle school, and all freshmen and sophmores are to report to the elemetry school..."

So not knowing what was going on, we left and went to the middle school. After sitting in the gym for a half an hour, the super intendent told us that we had a bomb threat, and that we would be able to go home at 1, and some other stuff, but thats not important.

This is the third time since I've been in high school that we've had a bomb threat, last year when we had one, they didn't even let the students know about it, two years earlier, the call came before school started so we never had to go to school.

Three bomb threats in a town with about 2000 people seems a lot...

So do any other people get bomb threats at their schools, or is it just that my small little town is full of idiots?

Sigh, in a little bit I have to go back to school for football practice, fun...

Lucky, all I got was a can of mountain dew.

Yeah, that happened to my school once. But the teachers didn't even mention it until like the next week (they obviously weren't taking it seriously).

Yeah, last year. They put all of us, every last student and faculty member, on the bleachers of the football field. It was an ok plan I guess, but now the next time someone really bombs the school, they know to plant the bomb under the bleachers, call it in the school, and boom. Everyone's dead.

A couple of years ago there was a report of a bomb in a backpack that was lying around in the gym. I didn't hear about it until a couple days after, but there were cops there.
Turns out the bomb threat was a lie.

Jr high we had a couple... they had us standing in "front" of the building, idiots...   The only thing we got in high school was fights, shoot outs, and a stabbing here and there. *shrugs* But then again there were no emo's in my school. Emo's were in the high school next door to mines. <.<

Sometimes we have practise evactuations (for fire) and invacuations (for say people with guns).

Everytime we have one or the other, I mention that all a terrorist would have to do is light a fire. Then when the whole school is evacuated, he can start shooting everyone.

XD That just sounds SO wrong in portuguese.
In portuguese, to evacuate = to defecate.

Alright, I went back to school for football practice. According to the cops, all after school activities had to be canceled, an away soccer game was canceled... BUT, we still had football practice. Anyway, I found my couch at the middle school because he works there, and we still had it. We had to wait until 3:30 for the cops to let us in the parking lot.

According to the news, there was no bomb. However, I heard that there was one in the bathroom. They locked the bathroom in the middle of the day, cops were sent in, and we saw cops walk in with a suit case, and then walk out, which I'm guessing they used to carry the bomb out. I'm thinking that there was actually a bomb, but the cops or bomb squad or faciltiy or whoever didn't inform the media of such otherwise it would have caused a panic and some people would skip school the next week or so.

When I was in middle school I had one. But it was dumb, the onyl good thing was getting out of school work.
Title: Had One
Post by: aboutasoandthis on September 19, 2006, 10:07:48 PM
At my old school. It had a bunch of white hicks. I actually knew the girl who gave it. She was "mentally challenged."

Are emos supposed to be scary or something? There are a lot of them at my new school. Usually the ones with the guns are nerdy...nerd, NERD, nerds.

Old school had a lot of fights. This one has a few.

We don't have any fights (at least not any big ones), guns, knives, or any other problems, just bombs...

I should bring an old fasion clock that ticks really loudly, and leave it at school...

My 8th grade got 3, Columbine had two and a chemical spill evacuation, and we had one last year. There were broken speakers in a backpack left alone with wires left in the office.

My school hasn't had a bomb threat yet, but a few years ago, someone got into a fight and broke his neck.. We have fights almost daily. And yesterday a rabid bat got into the school.

But no bomb threats.

At my school, they like to act like its Wyandanch, so theres alot of violence and ignorant ghetto people that start **** over nothing. I like to keep mellow though. I've been in 3 fights but I really dont like to offend/put people down and **** like that. Unless they're dicks, ofcourse.

Never been on a bomb threat, but it's good that nothing happened man.

It's policy that if they receive a bomb threat, the administration has to close the school. So even if it's likely that it's kids playing a prank or trying to get out of a test, they still have to close it.
Title:
Post by: Apex on September 20, 2006, 11:41:41 AM
Even if my school had one, no one would take it seriously, not even the administration.

The fact that I am on a forum that is discusing bombs at schools right now, is kind of a way to show so.

(Hurray, the forum is not blocked!)

We had a lock-down invacuation at my school, once, because a murderer(or child abducter) was on the loose. Are school isn't really prepared for that, so we just made the classroom look like we went to lunch, or something, and then hid under the desks. I didn't finish my food, so I was still eating it.

In my old elementary school, we had a mercury spill. We had to sit on the field (gravel field) in hot sun for an hour until we were cleared to go home.

You know what sucks? In case of a fire drill, we all go onto the field. The field that has burnable grass. Next to 2 giant piles of dried woodchips. Next to giant trees with branches that touch the ground. Next to a sewer that people dump oil and stuff in.
Yeah.

The worse Razor and my school have ever experienced (in my time at the school) was a fire set by people I know. We have had many drills before, and majority of the time we discuss the perfect way to activate and attack on the students and staff.

There were one or two bomb threats at my school before. Nothing big. One of them called in before school started, apparently it was traced as one of the sudents. Lawl, idiot.

That and there was one stabbing, but eh.

That sort of thing doesn't happen in Britain, in my area anyway. The worst things are fights and Maths.

I only had 1 bomb threat at my old high school Dixie M. Hollins.
we went out into the field but we didn't go home. Fire drills (arrgh! you block heads!) every month once a month. and the occasional fight and lockdown every grading period. College? please not another Collumbine!

Ok... I really hate topic kicking, but I see no reason I should make a new topic about this when there's already one here.

My school just recieved a bomb threat. I wouldn't be worried, if two other schools hadn't also recieved it, and the bathroom of one school exploding.

Tomorrow, we are to spend the entire day in the gym for safety... which basically screams "Bomb the gym!", but teachers are dumbfucks.

Also, the bomb notice said it would happen the 6th, which is tomorrow, which is a really shitty way to spend a Friday. So... Yeah, felt like sharing it. Seems like a lot more threats are being made day after day, and I'm sure one of you guys have had a threat made recently.

The only bad thing about this threat is it's actually creditible...

So, are you going to school tomorrow?
Title:
Post by: Meiscool-2 on October 05, 2006, 06:42:49 PM
Unless I tell my parents.... which I don't wish to do because my mom is a major worrier, I think I'm going to go. My parents will never let me call in sick, and the specifically told us that "If you choose not to come for your own safety, it WILL be counted as a skipped day of school." I hate my princible.

But, odds are my parents will find out one way or another, and they will probally keep me home.

I'd rather skip if there was a bomb threat, especially if there have been recent bomb explosions.  And that's coming from someone who's a good student and doesn't miss many classes.
Title:
Post by: Meiscool-2 on October 05, 2006, 06:48:55 PM
Well, it's not like I'd be missing any classes anyways... I think you've convinced me.
Title:
Post by: Ruler of the Dark on October 05, 2006, 06:50:33 PM
Ha, know I feel like I'm supporting skipping. >_>

But yeah, Life > Class.
Title:
Post by: Meiscool-2 on October 05, 2006, 06:52:34 PM
Yeah. And, if they do end up going back to normal classes and actually doing homework and notes, and I call my friends and do the stuff on the weekend.
Title:
Post by: Ruler of the Dark on October 05, 2006, 06:56:39 PM
That's the thing with schools...  I was sick yesterday and missed the whole day.  Today, I did all my work AND caught up what I missed.  The funny thing is, today was a half day, so each class was half the time as usual, and we got to leave at 11:30.

Missing a class barely affects things.
I really do sound like a skipper, don't I?

If I might ask, WHY the hell would one bomb a school? It's just retarded. Bomb something that matters, like the White House.

Except that black guy at my school who got arrested for bringing in a backpack of wires right? Then there was that mexican that called one from the office phone at another school of mine, you meant all except him right?

Yes there was! Our freshman year, there was a bomb threat disguised as a fire drill (a long-ass fire drill) to prevent chaos. There was also a small fire started in jr. high, a stabbing two years ago, two "lockdowns" this year, and... That's about it... And a million or so fights. Mostly in the freshman building. Damn nubs... Trying to act big in high school...

EDIT: Lawl, quote was made on my birthday!

It's a fact, not a racist statement, that Mexicans and African Americans are responsible for more crime then any other race or skin-color in the US.

The only way I would believe your statement is if your school was 90% white and 10% not or something.

Anyways... I desided to go to school. Evidentally... the bomb threat was a cover-up for a shooting. At 9:00 AM, police hauled some kid into a car and took off with him, and after that, the lockdowns stopped and ect. So, I'm guessing they caught the dude. I don't know who he was, or what went down, but I do know nothing got damaged and no shoots were fired.

Sweet, I'm alive.

Post by: aboutasoandthis on October 06, 2006, 06:47:34 PM
If you compare ratios, it's about the same. Plus there are more whites in America.

That makes it a racist statement. Don't take this any farther. I'm not in the mood.

That does NOT make it a racist statement. I'm hispanic. I can tell. And no, we shouldn't let this go any farther.

Good day, sir!
