I noticed conquer online up there I might try that. Ragnarok can be free if you use a back door hack. But who knows how to hack?
Adventure quest requires patience but it is free. There is another one like that AQ but it was dragon something or another?

A good online game is Monster Hunter for PS2. You have to buy the game, of course, but there's no subscription fees. It's more of an action game with RPG elements, though.
