Title: Favorite Boss Theme
Post by: drenrin2120 on September 25, 2006, 07:23:30 PM: So, what's your favorite Boss Theme? Doesn't have to necessarily be from an RPG. I've got a lot of favorites, but mine would have to go to Lunar 2's boss theme. Don't know why, just like it alot. Here's a remake of it in midi, not the greatest and not be me, but gives you an idea if you've never heard it.

To get serious, I'd have to say this one song from Shadow of the Colossus where you are fighting a bird and you're flying in the air. Either that or the FF8 boss theme.

Actually, I downloaded that 2 hours ago because I wached a flash movie (ff in balamb) and that was playing in a pretty funny scene so yeah..

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest had a radical boss theme as well.

Hmmm, the final boss theme of Kirby and the Crystal Shards rocks.

Taste my Blade from Final Fantasy IX. (Used in the very begining fight on stage.)

What else am I missing...?

It is good, but Necron's boss theme is better I think.

Hmmm, Messenger of the Dead, I think it was?

Boy, Nobuo Uematsu did a wonderful job on the soundtrack of that game.

How could I forget about those ones? I totally love the Major Boss Theme form LoD (the one which they play when you fight Faust, for example). Besides, Legend of Legaia's songs are awesome.

Not really a final boss song, but Navras from Matrix Revolutions would actually make a good final boss theme. It may be my final boss music.

But from a game, I'm going to have to say all of the boss songs in MP and MP2.

Of course there is the Project X remix of the MM2 Bubbleman theme. Freaking awesome.

And The Final Countdown by Europe would also do good as a boss theme.

Final Countdown is kind of a cool song, but after listening to the first 30 seconds.. it's just annoying. I could not stand it looping for a boss fight.
