Title: Best and Worst RPGmaker games!
Post by: Arcanagirl on October 05, 2006, 03:54:49 AM
Well I have seen many rpgmaker games in my time, and some are great, some are just annoying, but as in the real gaming industry, most rate games good or bad.

So what is everyones opinion on best or worst games made with rpgmaker programs? Can be Demos, or full versions, or games in making.

Best game for me so far: Metal Tears Demo, and Ghost of Heart Lake.

Worst Game: oh man too many, there was this one game called Final Fantasy ??? I found on this site that hosts hundreds of games, it was just horrid to play... Had the worst ratings too on that site. Sorry forgot the last part of the games name.

I believe plightofthepureblood was saying that because Arcanagirl might have looked for threads by Gemini, and found none.

Back on topic...

BEST
Metal Tears demos
Demon Hunter: Seeker of Power
Naufrager: Crimson

WORST
I haven't really seen and completed/demo games that sucked.

Velsarbor OWNS you all.

I also like Seeker's of the Sun, Dragonheart, and Final Fantasy Endless Nova.

I played all six episodes of "The way" about a week ago.
It was freakin awesome, as far as story goes.
The music was meh.......
Some of the graphics were a bit out of place.

I played "The burning Grail" not too long ago.
I gotta give him props for making a CBS and all.....
But honestly, I really disliked the story, and gameplay.
And it was so short...but any longer And I wouldnt have played any more.

It wasn't a CBS. It was a changed DBS.

If you wish to argue about a changed DBS being a CBS a second time, feel free to though, because we will gladly welcome your obsentities.

there was a CBS that ran alongside the dbs.
Unless you want to call that a minigame....
remember the whole "Plunge" battle aspect?

I think Meis was talking about that Burning Grail game.

That game used the DBS. It was a cool DBS, but still a DBS.

I forgot to mention that "Grave Spirit" game. It's okay. Play it if you have a fast download speed.

Sorry dude, but it doesn't matter if a demo's out or not.

Velsarbor is definitely the best rm game I've ever seen, mainly because the guy who made it most likely doesn't have any real life at all, worked on it continuously for countless hours and from what I saw, had quite the team helping with the making. But the final result is definitely breathtaking, that's for sure.

How cheap is that?

Oh well. I make a revised story with deeper characters, I make what could be the most innovative edit of the DBS, and I get one less fan.  :p

Best game - Eh, there's a lot of good ones. I really liked "Grave Spirit"

Worst - definately RM2KeMon... it's meant as a joke, but I just actually hate it.

Dunno about what my favorite is, I haven't played many.

But the worst one... I can't remember the name, but it was so full of errors. For example, you have to go to town to meet someone, then go to the forest with him. But there's nothing stopping you from just going to the forest, and the game thinks that you've already met the guy, which you haven't, but the game continues as if you had, etc.

I think there's also one part where the creator forgot to turn off the snow... so it just keeps snowing...

I loved Last Dream 3.  The graphics were a bit random, but it had a very unique concept.  Is there a full version out of that game?  I've only played the demo.

I also enjoyed Romancing Walker despite the less than impressive translation.

I haven't really played enough to really have a Crappiest Game Ever to add, unfortunately.
