RAGS TO RICHES: ADVENTURES IN TRILLINGHAM

For those who don't know about this little project of mine, heres a run down.

You Choose your character, and save the land of Trillingham for the forces of evil! But not because you're the chosen one, or that an ailing king told you to.. No, you're only out for the fame and fortune.. Infact, you don't really give a rats *** about the country, you just need a job.

Features and Systems

Fame: Doing jobs, Quests, and Slaying Mythical monsters will net you fame. As your fame increases, the people of Trillingham will react differently to you, as well as unlock new jobs, quests and optional areas.

Lock Picking, and Trap Disarming: This was a problem at first, but I managed to work it in a bit better. I eliminated the thieves guild, and you now require lock picks to open locks.

Monster inhabitants: I've reduced the random encounters to animals, and misc monsters. All other enemies are seen (Unless you are surprised). Once you slay a monster, it will not return!

House Building: Buy a peice of land, and decide what you'll build. A house, a fort, a farm, your choice.

Stat checks: A stat counter will keep track of secondary statistics;Fame, Saves, Battles, victories, retreats, ect..

Feats: Do certain things during a job or quest to unlock a feat. Feats earn you extra coin or exp.

Mini games and puzzles: Egg collecting, block pushing.. and combination locks!

Study surrounding area to tell what types of monster are around, as well as any natural threat.

IMPORT!: Yes, your character can carry on to the next adventure..

More as I add them..

Sounds awesome, but replace some of those message boxes and.. other boxes, they're pretty ugly, yo.

Sounds pretty good.

One suggestion though, a big part of this game seems to be focused on character customization. I think the user should have a choice on whether they want to do stuff for 'fame' or do stuff just because they're 'the good guy'. So you could do something like have a person hire you for a mission, in the end they'll go broke if they pay you, you can either take the money or do it for free, if you do it for free, they may like you better and hire you later and you get a good item then. I'd just say have the player chose the characters motives.

Looks great! Keep up the good work!

PS: Don't change the message boxes, I think they're ok ^^

Devil Hunter Seeker of Power maker eh?

I didn't like that one. This one might be different.

The fact that you actually finish games gives you respect in my book.

I'm a little disappointed with the Refmap graphics. Oh well.

Looks great, loads of cool features- but will the actual gameplay be interesting without character development or what have you?

Sounds coo' I like the idea of not being a super hero man who's gotta save the world because he thinks it is just! like my old game, but that didn't go anywhere...I wouldve been better off making it with multimedia fusion2.
