Title: Ice-T's rap school...
Post by: Cosmos on October 22, 2006, 04:36:28 PM
need I say more? They're giving this show on vh1, and I am laughing my *** off. These rich white kids are actually trying to rap XD This one girl, sofie (I think that's her name) calls everything minorities would wear or do, ghetto. And Ice-T was a bit annoyed with her for it, lol. They went to the south bronx, and actually learned something about rapping. I'm watching the second episode now, and Ice is giving them their rap names and now they're gonna make their own raps and actually attempt to rap. Omg, ya'll have to watch this XD

Ice-T is such a lameass. I'd watch it if Ice Cube was doin it, though.
This is a funny idea though, but a little like Gene Simmons' Rock School. Or.. Jack Black's School of Rock.. >_>
Title:
Post by: Cosmos on October 22, 2006, 04:40:23 PM
XD I agree, but these kids just make the show. They suck so bad.

Jack's school of rock was awsome, never saw the other one. :p

Ah, Rock School was a reality series where Gene Simmons went to an English boarding school and taught all the little kids to be cool. Except they were so uncool to begin with, he failed miserably. It was pretty much a reality take on School of Rock. The black kid even called himself Mr Cool.

Oh!! I know what you're talking about. I watched like five minutes of it, those kids were kinda boring.

NO! We do NOT need to be spreading this plague of "rap" to the untainted! Rap died n the 90s when stereotypes took it over... *listens to Sugarhill Gang*

I dont like Ice-T. He sucks as a rapper and a teacher.
But the kids make me laugh.
Title: The show was funny.

I laughed my *** off when the chubby girl started rapping.

Question, why do so many Underground Rappers talk about why they don't sell? Isn't that why they're Underground? Still cool though.

It's prolly because that's what sells more. Also, in most underground hip hop don't they talk about living in the hood? Sides, these are rich white kids. We dun need another vanilla Ice, now do we?

I don't know much about commercial rap.. even though I listen to Ludacris, Ice Cube, and Lil Jon. They all rap about being in the hood. Does that make them not commercial? Not really.. all that **** about the ghetto and selling drugs is what sells.. hmmmmmmm.. then again, most kids listen to fiddy more than they do Ice Cube..

Kool Kieth bichez.

I dont like most rap, but Kool Kieth pwns.

I prefer the Old school.

Commercial anything is weak. Its musical Laziness. "Ill just listen to what Im told is good....Im too lazy to check out the legitimate scene.
Its easier to rmember how the song goes, If its shoved in my face....And then I can use the knowledge of the song as a credit to my involment in a subculture"

Neither is true.

Twista is on my 'like' list, while 50 Cent is... well far far far up my hate list.

Three Days Grace is high on my list (no. 1 atm), while some band I can't remember the name off is on my hate list.

Anyone hear of Immortal Technique? Now that is some harcored rap. He uses words not commonly used in rap songs, and does not abbreviate words, which sometimes causes him to be off beat.
My favorite song by him is Dance with the Devil. It is about how this kid wants to advance in a gang and he has to rape and kill this women, but after like beating her ribs and breaking them and busting her jaw and raping her , along with all the others, he finds out it is his mother right before he has to shoot her. So he jumps off the roof of the building, and IT says he knows this becasue he was there. Then ofcourse it goes into some other rap about it.
I would like to quote some lyrics from the part after the guy in the song dies.

"Using numerology to count the people I've sent to heave produces more digits than 22/7"
"There are more fags than Greek Mythology."

There are alot more but I like those the most.

To get up in a gang, he had to screw his own mother, without even recognizing her? Then he jumped out of a window because of it? Right...

Actually I think I heard of this guy. I remember listening to a guy who made Eminem sound like Elmo. He was that disgusting. Maybe, maybe not.
