Title: Crime in your area!
Post by: FFL2and3rocks on October 28, 2006, 06:00:44 PM
I live in a pretty peaceful area, nothing major happens often...
But about a day or two ago, a couple of people were murdered in their home. @_@ Probably the worst thing that I've heard of so close to where I live. Other stuff has happened before (my next door neighbor's car got stolen, some other neighbors' houses were broken into) but never a murder.

How is your area as far as crime goes?

My town's pretty peaceful, but it's got some parts of it that you don't want to get caught on your own in if any of the following applies to you:

1.) You listen to rock music
2.) You're white
3.) Your pants fit you

I live in a "big" city, and it's a capital, I get murders, robbers, kidnaps, etc. etc. almost daily.

A lot of drug related murders here.
I think Abbotsford has the 3rd highest crime rate in Canada or something. I'm not sure though.

Houstoooooooooooooon! Texaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!
I do believe we have a rather high crime rate. I should look it up, but that would take effort.

EDIT: Effort'd! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houston#Crime

In ENGLISH: The towns Almussafes and Benifayo of the Valencian Community, they have been pacific for a long time. In these towns are the ones that but times I am.
But the ETA terrifies the "Basque Country" of Spain.
The English is difficult.

A guy was found hacked up with a machete in my dumpster the day after I moved here......

Newyork. Pfft.

Well, I live in a city in Buenos Aires that's not too insecure, but I live next to a square in wich you can hear shots for a while, and I live next to the train station, so there are suicidals sometimes.

Not that I can remember much of it, all I know is some guy was murdered outside my house. -shrug-

That and few breakins, nothing much.

Mostly sarcasm. But I suppose I do live in a bad part of Long Island. I recall a guy getting shot with a shotgun at a gas station around the corner. Eh....its a "ghetto." I really hate saying that word. "Hood" "Streets" whatever you wanna call it. Its really not as bad as rappers make it sound. I've lived in the inner city ghettos too. Its only bad if you're stupid enough to join a gang. I LIVE IN THE HOMETOWN OF RAKIM!

Dont sweat the technique.

Rotflol...

Other than car crashes, nope. Only downtown St. Louis has it pretty bad. That's 40 miles away.

I don't remember when exactly, but it wasn't long ago... a guy walked into a college and shot people... girls only, if I'm not mistaken... and then he either shot himself or got shot by police officer... I don't follow news so often, so I'm not sure...

My neighbourhood is full of meth labs!  Cool, huh?

Oh, and my brother's car DVD player was jacked while it was sitting in our yard one night.....

Same here. Brains covered the streets... Not too sure how it went down, though. I live in a better part of the city now (no more hood for me), but it's starting to degress... I'll know we're in trouble when ?I see a billboard in spanish only, and we're in big trouble if it's graffitied. No serious interneighborhood stuff... yet. A couple of shootings, actually. But that's about it. Oh, and our next-door neighbors at one point ran a drug house. Long time ago, that one was.

You are mistaken. If you're talking about the goth Indian guy in Montreal, he shot like 23 people at that college with a rifle. He was a **** shot though, so only one chick died. 0 were critically wounded. Cops shot him.

Uhm, I think that's what I was talking about... Dawson College. I thought he killed girls only... seems I confused with something similiar that happened before.

Ah yes, the peaceful lives of yours...

Kiddin. Really, nothing ever happened that affected me direcly and all, but some time ago a criminal factio called PCC (Capital's First Command) just took the city. The deccided to atack police posts and burn buses. This faction buys (illegally) weapons from the JUST LOVELY Israel, so their fire power is better than our police's and maybe our military forces. It was like, civil war.

I know this is retarded, but that day I felt really....thrilled up. Every second I thought I might die and I HAD to walk alone in the streets cause I took my girlfriend home and there were no buses or trains (they bursted fire trains, police stations and police cars...). Anyway, it was something different hapenning, so I found it exciting, somethung like a rollercoaster sentation.

So yeah, I'd love to see some death penalty here in Brazil. First, for politicians, second, to rapists and killers. WE spend more money with our prisioners than we do with education (can you belive that?). C'mon, let´s kill some people, relive the world from unnecessary resource comsumption!

Nothing happens here. I've never known a murder or rape or anything. And there are hardly any shootings because there's hardly any guns :p

Actually, the goverment spends millions on ONE person on death row. Compared to holding them in prison, which is only in the thousands. Me, totally against the death penalty.

That's why we need a president (and other things) that can do the job right! Like me! I would make all death sentences executable by any means neccessary! It's not cruel and unusual, they're gonna die anyway. Shoot 'em in the face, end of story. Cheap as hell, too. Well, cheaper than what they do now.

Getting shot in the face isn't painful enough.
Shoot them with a bazooka.

Edit: The killing only women thing is partially true. He shot people of both genders, but the only one he successfully killed was a woman.

See, here a bullet is really cheap (and I bet that in the States it's even cheaper, cause you luv them a lot right?). SO, one bullet, one head, one hole in the ground. 5 bucks. And one time only, not forever.

The more you have, the more you waste. Thats duh knowledge right there.

o_0 Wow. Two more people were killed nearby!

Some guy shot and killed a woman in a parking lot, then when the police came, he shot at them, and the police shot back and killed him.

Weird. It's been years since I've hear of anyone getting killed nearby, and then there are two murder incidents within the same week. @_@

well....lets see....Arkansas is riddled with issues...Saline County is declared by most as the cocaine capital of the United Sates (some say world but thats a bit large).
my favorite quote out of an old news article:
"A drug pilot brings a Cessna 210 full of cocaine into eastern Arkansas where he is met by his pick-up..."

Also Little Rock is rated as the 23rd most dangerous city in the U.S. as of 2005.

Hmmm at my school plenty of people have been arrested...we average about 2 bomb threats a year....hmmm a couple weeks ago a CBI kid got maced by a police officer...for those that don't know CBI is the retarded peeps.

Saddly... Once murders start, they only get worse...

Anywayz, someone got murdered at a near-by gas station last year, but which gas station was never revieled...

The only other 'big' crime I can think of would be the four bomb threats we had in our school this past month, but thats not really big cuz no one got hurt or anything.
