Yes, I like harry potter... I hate the movies tho. Books are better, third one is my favorite.
yeah i find if you forget about what happened in the books and focus on the movies, it's a lot less interesting.
Actually I disagree. In four, I had to explain to my mother what the hell was going on because it was so damn confusing. Even I had trouble with the plot. The movies were a huge disappointment.
Also, the boy who plays harry (daniel) is going to join some play in london. He wants to get rid of his harry image, and so he's going to be some naked guy who likes horses. I dunno if there are horses in there.
I think ZKX though this was a thread to say what we think about him, since, I clicked in this through the "10 last post" thing, which doesn't show you that sentence thing below the title.

that makes sense

ah yes, rowling wrote that book well, i liked that one.
and i heard about that! well i at least heard that he was going to be in a play naked. well.
yeah and i would so go to the auditions if he quit the movie. hopefully he'll die in a car accident.
kidding.
sorta.
I read the first one cause Davis told me to. I haven't seen the movies.
All I know: Hermione has cat Snape Kills Dumbledore

woah. you must not get out much. those movies are everywhere.
yeah hermione has a cat
but
snape just fake killed dumbledore. dumbledore is alive. i know it.
Please don't double post, :p A lot of ppl don't like that.
Yeah a lot of ppl were upset with the 6th book. And she said even harry might die, meh. Sirus was effin awsome, and she just HAD too kill him off. Gawd I hate her. But I'm still gonna get the last book <.<

sorry bout that!
i was upset too, but i'm over that. i think that the prophecy means either neville has to die or both harry and voldemort must die, so hopefully neville dies.
and its so dumb! harry was told that ghosts are researched in the department of mysteries. HELLOOOOO they were in it! don't you think that veil could be some sort of ghost machine or something?
oh, and this is to the general public, not you.
I like nevie... :( and it was between harry and nev, but harry ended up being the chosen one and so it's either him or tom (voldie) who have to die. Nev is pretty much just some person who helps once in a while. I dun think the ghosts in hogwarts had much to do with anything, sure they may know rumors or secerts but nothing serious. Also, the veil was a death chamber. Anyone who fell through automatically died. :(

Bwaha. You guys are talking about other people dying though, so I probably should read this thread any more.
What do you mean 'those movies are everywhere'? No they are not. They are in cinemas. I go to cinemas, but not to Harry Potter. So, make sense, and stop being a little make-no-sense.
Ah yes. If it had a sub title, then I didn't see that, it was on page one. TO be honest, the subtitle is utterly useless. Title contains subject, and the body should contain the subject as well as elaborate upon it. This topic the only info about was in that little line no one cares about or sees.

See that? Don't do it again. THIS is why mods complain about you.
You... You complain about me? I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME!?
Oh I didn't see that, actually Snape DID kill him. Rowling said it, she also said he's not coming back. He's gone for good, unless you count his picture in the headmaster's office.

Only once in a while when you're an ass, :p

No, no, Snake killed. I'm sure of it, and everything points that way.
What I expect is something like Harry fiding out Dumbledore asked Snake to kill him to easier stop the wat or something, you know, very martyr. Or a incredible plot twist in where Dumbledore is the actual badguy, who was just using Harry, and Voldemort, who is in fact Harry's dad, was trying to save him, Dumbledore also tricked Sirius into killing that rat-man, which was actually good.
OR even better! Harry's crazy after all those years of living with the Dursley! He created all that world just so he could live in it, but then suddenly he's brought back to reality, and he goes in a killing spree, while screaming "AVADA KEDRAVA!" and turning on and off a green flashlight. That'd be awesome.
EDIT: SNAPE killed, SnaPe, with P. I need to cut it out with Metal Gear.
...
I am the ONLY guy who get's confused when reading? Like, sometime I read "Snake" instead of "Snape" (I read quite fast, so that happens pretty often), and then a mental image form of Snake instead of Snape. It's pretty funny when that appens, really.

He's playing the lead in Equus. We had to read that in my lit class freshman year. It's a wonderful play.
ZKX is never an ***.
Get that straight hoe.
SILENCE slut!
I anit no slut, bitch. I'll teach you a lesson, whore. Come say that to my face if you anit to busy fuckin' that pineapple, yo.
Grandy, the whole Snape/Snake thing is pretty cool, especially since he's Slytherin..

lmao! XD
I liked ron, he was funnie.
On a serious note, I never read Harry Potter after the first book.
All my friends read it, but I couldn't stand the first book. I endured it just to see WTF they were all up in a tree about. It bored me mostly.
Harry Potter-type boks are very popular. The writer (I forget her name) isn't anything extraordinary. I don't see why so many people like it as much as they do. I could understand people liking it... but come on. It CAN'T be the best book you've ever read, right?
Dumbledore dies!?!?!?!
Bitch! You just spoiled the whole thing!
Anyway, its my guess that the bad dude voldamort or whatever used that one forbidden spell that they talked about in the forth book that lets him control people. So he was controlling snape, so really snape is not to blame.
I never got into Harry Potter.
I had to read the first book for school, hated it, and never bothered with it since.
Read the first four, never quite got into it... You'd think that after four books, it'd force-integrate itself into your system...
actually...... if you dun wanna know, dun read this...
snape made a promise bond (it's not the right term I dun think) with malfoy's mom. If he didn't hold true to his word, he'd die. Draco was suppose to kill dumbledore, supposedly tom was angry with draco's father and decided to have revenge by sending malfoy on a suicide mission. When it came down to it, draco couldn't do it. Dumbledore thought snape was going to help him, but instead snape killed him. Dumbledore believed in the good in people.
For some reason, Dumbledore reminds me of alex.. _sweat_
On-topic: I read 1 through 4. 1 my mom made me, 2-4 I read because my school at the time had the Accelerated reader thing where each book gave points to buy stuff like candy n ****. I MIGHT have read 5, but if I did I don't remember anything but like... talking paintings and the one guy dying. Everything else is blah. I never cared for it, I was just nearly forced to read em.
Harry Potter... You guys should cut yourself live Harry, we all know he's emo *glares at Harry*
Harry Potter eh? Well I read the two first books, then it took some time for my brother to finish the third so I could borrow it.
And the fourth, fith and sixth was read during caravan vacation when I was bored at playing FFTA and Pkmn. I think I read the latest on like one day, English words, not Swedish.
But yeah itīs quite good, but a bit "overrated" at least when all the movies and toy came...
And for those who read the earlier pages with spoilers, I believe that Dumbeldore knew that he was going to die, why else would he paralyze poor harry? But even more important, how comes he didnīt realise that the boat cave was a fake?
I'm not a huge fan, despite the fact that I've read each book within days of the release. It's odd, but true. I suppose I must have been a big fan at one point, because I remember that the family bought two copies of one of them so that me and mum could read it at the same time without having to wait. But nowadays I'm pretty indifferent about them :p I also dislike the movies quite alot. They explain very little, relying on the audience to have read the book. That's not what a film is about. I'm particularly fed up with Harry. Nowadays the books are mostly about him having mood swings. Wonderful. Midnight, I agree with you, the third book really was good.

*spoilers* J.K.Rowlling herself explained that, even though really good at magic, Dumbledore is just human, capable of making mistaques. He didn't realize the cave was fake, 'cause he thought it wasn't. He paralized Harry, 'cause he was unsure wether he was going to win or not, therefore he wanted to at least save Harry.
I really disliked that one book, not because Dumbledore dies, but because I just disliked it. Seems one of those books that the only purpose is to open way for the next one, and all that seems now, the next one'll be something like Harry searching for artifacts, pretty much like in FF when you have to go out searching for crystals.
Yeah for some reason while I was reading the sixth one, I was feeling disappointment from the beginning. It took me longer to read <.<
<***SPOILER***>
Yeah, the third one was definitely my favorite. Sirius is a beast. Damn you Rowling, why did you make him die!!! :yell:
***SPOILER***>
I read the 5th book in one sitting. That was some crazy shizz...
I DID NOT SEE THE SPOILER ALERT FOR THAT.
Thank you.
Edit: That's better.
My bad, Grandy...
I've read all six, and I find that they decrease in quality as the series goes on. The first book would've done well as a standalone book, but the decision to make a series out of it was not necessarily a good thing. Five and Six are basically filler, and Seven will likely be the same thing (hopefully Harry dies in the end).
Harry became so emo and gay.. it's not even funnie.
Teenage angst to the 1000th power.
Eragon IS better. No, i tried it didn't like it; took it back and slit me wrists m'kay.
Curious, how the hell did this:

result in Harry Potter? Did I miss something? It's in the subtitle of the thread. So, yes.
lol. ok i read 1 through 6 and i am waiting on the fifth movie, and I want the seventh and final book!
Edit: My mom says dumbledore will come back since some wizards do come back (just the great ones such as voldemort *gasp!*)
She might make 8. But if she does, she said it would be about harry as an adult. Which.......means harry wont die in the last book. Meh.
I heard that too. What is with that locket in the 6th book?
Dun read this post if you dun wanna know :P
Someone stole it, and put a fake there. Prolly so tom wouldn't know it was missing. A lot of people thought it was Sirus' brother who did it. But the guy is dead, and the initials dun really match up. My guess is she's gonna make some new character.
I wish she would bring sirus back.. :(
I couldn't care less that you told me. It clairifies things. The patronus is harrry's dad right?
Oh no, that was for other ppl who tend to whine when I spoil things <.<
Dun reaaaaaaaddddddddd.....
yeah, that there be James potter aka prongs. Siris black was padfoot... Peter Pettigrew was wormtail (he was also Ron's rat, scabbers). And Remus Lupin (my second fav) was Moony.
Also, HERMIONE IS CAT MONSTER.
I just finished reading the third one. Now I know who Sirius is. You guys are homos for ruining it for me, though.
XD It's your own fault for looking in here, :P

she didnt say that!
she said another HP she would write (if any after 7) would be an encyclopedia of the wizaring world.
Erm no, I recall watching the news and seeing her talking about it. She said it was a slim chance, but she might do it.
ehh i dont know about that because im pretty sure harry dies
plus ive read many interviews which she talks about this and the encyclopedia is the only possibility.
i dont think you should trust your news, i mean who are they to even be official?
Erm.. k?
Spoilers below...
Edit: My mom says dumbledore will come back since some wizards do come back (just the great ones such as voldemort *gasp!*)
Rowling said he's dead. No magic or whatever can bring him back. The only reason voldie came back was because he spilt his soul seven times, so he's pretty much immortal. To do this, one needed to do the greatest sin/evil of all. And that was murder, Dumbledore isn't the type to kill. <.<

No! Spoilers rot my brain!!
Lost interest after the third book. i never watch movies based on books. They usually suck.
yeah.. nothing like Narnia. At least they were true to the book, :(
