Title: help with an event

Is there a way to change an event's graphic or is there a more practical to do what I want (described below)?

I need an event to be invisible until a certain switch is turned on and then it becomes visible as though the character has walked on the screen. Basically I need a character to walk onto the screen and approach the hero.

Read up on Events commands, and experiment. Preconditions and such.

Hit new page, which is a button near the top. Have the first page completely blank, and have the second page be your character. Make sure to set the second page's condiction to "If Switch Is On"
