Title: Inuyasha: Shattered Memories
Post by: DarkGoten on November 10, 2006, 08:44:11 PM
Inuyasha: SM will spam through the whole story covering the anime and manga. I will include all the movies but those you can only unlock once you beat the game and after you beat each movie. I will include my own ending after you have completed the story mode, Movie mode and Dynasty mode.

Features.

Abs

Cms

Realism

8 Directional Movement

Sprinting system

About the hud.

I was thinking of doing my hud something like how the legend of zelda games did it, not saying meters are bad but hearts look better and stuff to me.

Gfx.

The gfx I will be using are mac/blue chipsets, log edits/custom charsets.

Screenshots.

I am sorry but at the moment we are still working on screenshots I can tell you right now that the quality of the game will look far superior to what you have seen in any inuyasha rm2k3 game, the reason is that my team consists of many good spriters and are extremely good at shading including myself.

Preview of Inuyasha.

Broken link for an image and a promise for someone else's story.

Fun.

"Really good spriters." So you got the graphics, will you have the fun?
This seems too blunt. At least post images of what you currently have done to make it believable. Otherwise all you might be doing is just making sprites. And I'd like to see how you pull off the 8-D moving system; I've noted rpgmaker2k sucks for it heartly. Believe me; I've tried

I've seen it done before and it really can be done!

I am sure it can be topped, no doubt. Some nerd can sit there for hours until he gets it done, but I'd like to see how its pulled off, as in the coding and actual gameplay.

Especially when advertising fangames, be sure you can back up your concept.

Also I'd like to see how you "spam" through the whole concept.

You guys are dicks. Saying "fangame" is NOT suppose to be like saying "witch" in the 1700's.

I could care less if it's a fangame. However, when people expect that just because its a fangame they don't have to provide much info because it's a fangame, then yeh. El problemo.

Most fan games suck, but if you can show the goods and prove me other wise, why wait? I've seen good fan games, so I don't know, maybe yours actually IS good. We'll see.

Oldest trick in the book.

I hate you for your linearity.

I know we shouldn't judge harshly just because it's a fan game, but how often do people really post good fan games?  Lets face it usually, Low post count + Fan Game + Lack of Images + Lack of description = Craptastic fan game. It's one of those situations where you have to follow Occam's Razor, which states if you hear hooves, think horses, not Zebras.  If you hear fangame, it's more logical to think it'll be bad, than that it'll be a great game.

So, show us some stuff, a screen shot, a little more description, some other sprites besides that Inuyasha that you could just take right from Completed Resources.
