Title: web development tools?

Hey all.

Im lookinng to build a website for my verious projects (The game, general freelance artistry, comics, etc.)

Thing is, Im literally a retard when it comes to HTML code.

I have a friend who is willing to send me her macromedia dreamweaver...but honestly, that is going to take some time to get here, and it seems complicated when i view the tour online.

So i was wondering...

If any of you knows of any handy, user friendly, idiot proof web design tools....

I really dont want anything complicated...Just the ability to use my own graphics...and have some sort of visual interface when it comes to actually laying out the page(s)

Any sugesstions?

I have one that I use to save me some time when making stuff, Mozilla Composer. Its part of the Mozilla Suite. Its free, and easy to use. Plus if you know any HTML you can switch to a view that lets you do nothing but it. And then switch back to see what it looks like before saving the page.

Thats my suggestion, use it if you want.

thank you sir. Im downloading the suite now. Im not sure why my firefox dosent have it already, but then again, I got mine from a magazine sample disc....

Im looking forward to trying it out.

I think Microsoft Word has a drag and drop kinda site designer.

I wouldn't know, I just use HTML(I don't know it either, that's why I look up the tags every time.)

the microsoft word one is so messed up, i used it once. i coulndt read its code at all.

Microsoft word one is weird. But there is one called Microsoft Front Page. It's one of the simples ones out there, very easy to use, especially for a beginner. But it can be buggy, and at times adds unneccessary code. However it is in no way free.

Yeah, if you know html, notpad really is the easiest. But if you don't know anything, Composer or Dreamweaver should help.
