What are these? are they really necessary for maps?
-
How? Like when you switch from map to map? Cuz you can choose how the transition fades to one screen. It's in the system tab in the database :D
EDIT:--------------------
OoO Sorry, TRANSITION TILES, those are like the water tile that has somewhat of an animation. Notice how on your maps there were no transition tiles at all :D Try to make your maps detailed, it's all about detail :D

Dude, you already asked this in another thread. There was no need to make this topic.
The tiles That ZKX was referring to is the auto tiles...the top rows of tiles when you look at your chip-pallet, when making a map.
They have special features that allow for easier transitions between terrains.
Seriously...there was no need for this thread. I was about to answer in the other one...

I know that's what it means, but it was VulcanRaven336 who posted, not ZeroKirbyX or I Have a Sandwich.

The maker of this topic already asked this question in a previous topic. ZKX answered it there. However, the maker is too stupid to look where he originally asked the question, and instead desided to create yet another annoying topic.
Auto tiles are the first 10 or so tiles on a chipset. They are actually 12 tiles in one, 4 by 3, and depending on how you place them is how they end up coming out.
This is an example of an auto tile:
Auto Tiles blend. The screens you showed have no transistion from one type of tile to another, hence, autotiles will help you greatly.
-
...I call em transition tiles okay? They transition. What the hell is auto supposed to mean? "OH MY GOD THE GRASS IS MECHANIZED N SHALL KEEL US ALLE!" Like that? I dunno.
By the way, I do know why they're called auto. I'm just looking for an excuse to post jibberish. Very well thought out jibberish.
-
Ok now i remember! Thanks!
-
Oh, I get it now.
And ZKX, they're referred to as "auto" because regardless of how you apply them to your map, they automatically transition to look fluent.

No. As a republican I mean "I'll shoot you in the foot". Foot of course, meaning groin.
