Title: HoTL
Post by: Vorpal Hedgehog on November 17, 2006, 08:15:40 PM
This is where I'll be uploading sprites I've edited / created for a game of mine. Not all of them are 100% Complete. I'm open to critisim... so long as its useful and not "U 5u|< LOLOLOLOL!!!11!!111!"

As a side note, all my battlesets are just modified versions of my Normal Sprites. I like consistancy, and any monsters I do will mirror this as well (IF I ever get around to monsters, anyways).

-------------------

First one is my RPC's closest friend, Ryugi Kazamaru. Created a general look on the Charas Generater, then edited it a bit. I rather like it. I almost made a new one, but he likes it and doesn't want me to.

Almost forgot. HoTL stands for "Heart of the Leviathan".

Not that you people care, but I wish to avoid confusion.

w00t! This is probably my best female. I did this for Lady Sierra Ethel'stan, whose infinatly more badass than me. And I've actually succeded in creating a women that didn't look goofy.

Errr... because its hard to see, I'll post a double sized Sierra quick, which would be the size she'd look in the game.

I wish there was a way to put two attachments side by side. I'll probably just upload images with them next to eachother from now on.

Or just on request, from here on out.

U 5u|< LOLOLOLOL!!!11!!111!

By which I mean good work, especially on the woman ^.^

To put more than one picture in, host them remotely on photobucket or something.

I canīt really say anything about the guy, to small, but I do agree with Moose when I say that the female turned out great.

Larger image. I already had some up on my photobucket. I'll probably upload some more soon when I pretty them up a bit and stuff.

I'm debating whether or not to redo my main. I dunno if the staff does good for him. And he could stand for some complexity in the back.

In regards to the owner of this thread,

There's an edit button beneath your posts, so you don't have to double-post if you forget to say something.

And I'm pretty sure we don't talk in 1337-5p34|< all that often around here. Also, as a suggestion for the main, could you make him without the big sword on his back? Pretty much all professional RPGs don't really show off a weapon on a guy's back, and it looks weird when people try it. Just a suggestion. Other than that, yeah, pretty good. Oh, and something about the story/character bios would be fun.

...

Are those fresh off the charaset generator? Some parts look pretty familiar to me...

Ever-presently,
Archem

They do... I'm pretty sure I recognise that sword.

If they are, did you make edits to them at least?

Title: Gonna Clarify
Post by: Vorpal Hedgehog on November 19, 2006, 11:06:49 PM
First off, the guy in red is the main. The guy with the sword is his friend, and possibly could also be considered a main. This is somewhat incorrect, because I'm making about four major storylines, all which converge at the end to do a final, more epic storyline.

Yeah, the sword on Ryugi is generated. I have to beef it up. I'm too lazy to make my own bases at this time. Moonblade, the red one, is a prototype to one of the mains (and my IC in the RPG communtiy).

I'll be writting up profiles (err... with some copy and paste for the others) in the bios thread. Or at least on my own, since not all of these are technically my original characters. But I only use characters I'm allowed to, and I use all characters that people ask me to add.

Unless they want someone like Inyuasha (don't care enough to spell it right) or Goku. Then it's a definate NO. OCs only.

Side Note: I know you don't type in 1337 around here. It was an exaggerated example. :D

The hair was generated too. Are they completely generated?

A hint for ye, young jedi.

Generated resources are well and fine, but they tend to get recognized mighty fast.

So....What ya want to do here, is edit edit edit.

Now, I can tell youve edited already...But the shape of the mans hair, and the mans sword are the ruiners.

Either Add a spike, or remove some, in his hair. Try adding some darker tones to the roots. The Hairset you used from the generator, is edited RTP graphics, so its instantly recognizable. You want to alter it, so that at first glance it looks completly origonal. And the sword needs something done as well.

I really like the womans hair, but she also gives an RTP aura. By adding some streaks, of either a highlighted or darkened nature, youll rip up the dance floor with that shizzle.
keep on playing with it. Your lead characters should look as non rtp as possible.

Otherwise though, theyre quite good, friend.
