Record broken!
Oh, and for the people who want these so-called "proof":
[PROOF] (http://www.dominodomain.com/dominoday2006-newworldrecord)
It finished a half hour ago.
-
No video?
Lame.
-
The whole event was friggen two and a half hours long.
And what part of a half hour ago don't you understand?
-
rofl, I wants proofs!!
-
What part of "No video = lame" do you not understand? :D
Seriousley, we don't know if those are real or not, for all we know it could be digitally altered. I'd rather have a video for the "proof"
-
DF, dont be a jerkwad.
It was done just a short while ago.
The link even says they would be posting images soon.
I think its pretty impressive. 4.4 million dominoes. 2 hours. Eight weeks of prep.
I really hope somebody got paid for it though.
-
I just think that *SOMEONE* should have had the brains to catch it on video, rather than simply taking a few pictures.
-
Thats pretty sweet, but does anybody actually play bones or somethin with dominoes anymore?
-
Dude.....Its like a couple hours old.
It takes time. They are probably getting drunk. They just broke an eight week long world record attempt.
Im sure there is Video footage. But Im sure the concept of "OMG!!! LET GET THIS ON YOUTUBE RIIIGGGGHHHHTTT THIS VERY MINUTE!" Wasn't their priority, so much as "WHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! IT WORKED! WE DID IT! WHOOO! BEERS!"
ZKX; I used to play em at my old shop, when it was slow, And my horrible poker addiction wasnt hosting a game.

When you are building a large domino-project with a lot of stones you will want to secure the project. We also do this when realising a world record attempt. The most basic way to do this is by leaving out stones after several meters. When you do this make sure you leave out enough stones to prevent that the remaining stones are able to bridge the gap when they topple (4 stones should do the trick). Another way to secure your project is by putting in actual barriers. This might be a piece of wood which you can place between the stones and that will stop the domino-line when it starts to topple. Always make sure you remove all the securities before you topple the project
Apparently they suggest leaving gaps every few metres.
