Title: Destructive genesis

Post by: maxine on December 11, 2006, 05:26:53 PM: I just found out 2 words on my mind.. First one is Render.. Just got it out of reading OpenGL and i think its pretty cool, maybe not render as render but with Warxe's idea.. The second one is Desception.. Maybe try mixing them?

So some mixing i got up to:

Desendered
Rendetion
Restionized

Edit: i know the actual word is spelled Deception.. But still mixing might turn out good :D

Hmm i didn't like those proposals. I want it more powerful, like i posted above "Desendered". Like when i pick a name i usually imagine a radio station saying "Okay, here comes the next song with Desendered". You know what i mean, those examples i gave wasn't good either. Come on keep help me now :D

That thing (or two) is that they ALL HAVE VERY GENERIC SOUNDING NAMES. They ALL SOUND LIKE THEY'RE TRYING TOO HARD. Things like BLOODKILLER and GENOCIDE MURDERER, etc etc, they suck as names. Especially words that don't at all have any relevance to the band itself, usually verbs. Like your list before:

so my advice is to focus on the bands that are out there and try to grasp the sort of names they use.

And don't drop letters to make you look cooler. As we all know, it only makes you look dumber.

XD You've gotta stop using my name like an stamp of guaranteed quality. Elegy are okay, I like a few of their songs, and I listen to a range of things for inspiration to write my own stuff. But there are a lot of better bands out there >.>

I like Bluhman's name suggestion :p Definately steer away from names that make you sound too serious. If you take yourselves too seriously you'll fail right from the start.

Twisted Metal is a awesome name, and yes, stel it from the game. Even more awesome. Hmmm...Twisted MEtal characters have excelent names for a band!!!!

Like:

Sweet Tooth
Darkside
Spectre
Crimson Fury
Mr. Grimm (complete this with some pessimistic word, like rendemption)
Roadkill
Thumper
Warthog
Yellow Jacket...

And so on. I´d take Crimson Fury.
