HOW DO I FIND WHAT COLOR IS TRANSPARENT FOR AN IMAGE!
Excuse the caps, but I've spent 3 hours perfecting something, and if I don't get this to work, all 3 hours will be wasted and I'll have to start over and find another way to do this.
-
wen u import the image into rpg maker, double click on the backround colour.
-
When do I click the background color?
-
In preview mode after selecting what your going to import,
-
Just put up a picture for when to double click to select the background color for a battle animation sheet.
-
The blue background will be blinking when you click on it allowing you to know that area will be transperent in-game...
-
Am I the only one who can't see the picture? Please put it as an attachment.
-
Did you see a lil frog go by???
-
Me, a staff, and a chocobo... interesting little battlechar there.
-
We are talking about RPG Maker 2000 right? Because that's what I'm using, (oh, and I still can't see the picture xD)

Yea it is, lol,
If you mentioned that ealier it would of saved me some time since I use rm2k3 as for the picture not showing up, not like it matters now, idk what to say try using firefox or explorer vice versa
-
It's strange, every image you post, even your avatar, doesn't show up xD
But guys, just tell me where you do it...
-
It's when you import the resource, AKA Tools->Resource Manager->Import. After you select the image it will show you the image and an OK button. Click on the background color until it flashes and BAM, you're done.
-
Yay! The man with the moose helped! For RPG Maker 2000 it would be RAW Material Editor... *opens it* Ok, now import... *imports stuff* Click on background color... *clicks... several times*
*bows, hails, and worships Osmose*
Ok, lock or delete this topic, problem solved, you can mail the topic to Jamaca for all I care.

Putting resources into your game by simply sticking them in the directories is a bad habit. Raw Resource Manager for the win.

You're Vivi?
No?
Cock.

It IS him. I myself made that battle character, and I made it to be his character. So suck it.

It's true. Simply copying stuff into folders is faster but you run the risk of having pictures that are the wrong size, wrong format, incorrect color depth... in the worst case scenario when you try to run the game it will just say there was a resource problem and you'll have NO IDEA what's wrong. Took me hours to find it when it happened to me.

Response to second quote in box: yes and somtimes this will crash the database or map tree and boom! End of your project! happened to me three times but not always because of this. Just saying it happened at least once in this way.
