Can I have MPEGs for my wav files? If not, what kinds am I allowed to use?
I have a bunch of sound effects and I want their file size lowered. Increasing the tempo isn't enough for me. Is there a patch or something I need to download?

I could show you how to record them internally with Sound Recorder (default to windows). The only problem is if they're stereo they'll become mono and you'll have to get a .wav to .mp3 converter. Which I could send you.

I think I messed my question up.
I meant, in Microsoft sound recorder you can save your recordings to different types of wavs.
Go to Save As. Near the bottom you'll see Changes. You can select from a list.
Formats: PCM, MPEG, Lernout & Hauspie, etc.
Attributes: 8 KHz, 16 bit Mono, etc.
I found out MPEG, 32Kbit 22KHZ Mono works the best. It reduced this one sound effect I had from 2 Megabytes to 2 Bytes. RM2k3 doesn't support it though.
Out of the formats, what does it support?
BTW dren, I've been doing that (I've figured that out too) but I found a much better recorder over the internet.

lol, okay then.
