The recording, first off, is pretty shitty.
There's no drums and no bass, just guitar.
The distortion sounds like ***, I know.
I made the song up in about 10 minutes with the exception of the wah solo. That took about a week for the idea alone to come to me.
The link is vulgar, I know, but it's only temporary.

Thanks for checking it out.

Is a much better site.
Just fyi.
I can't say I think the song is very inspired, but an ok first effort.

Myspace? Dude.
Anyways, it's pretty cool. I think it'd be a lot nicer if it was cleaner.
-
Well, in the "clean" department, I'm having trouble getting a good tone.. My amp is really crappy, so I can't really run the pedal through that to tweak it. The amp I'm using is this 20 - 25 year old multivox that's about ready to blow.
I actually have a purevolume account for my own personal usage, but I have my band on myspace because that's where I can get the support of all my friends.
Anywho, thanks for the input, guys.

Get a Line 6 Spider III amp, it'll get the tone you're looking for..

Yeah, I was trying out some Line 6 amps over at the local Sam Ash, and yeah, they get some badassed tone... But GODDAMN! Those things are expensive.
I was thinking of getting a cheap Randall or something.
First I gotta worry about paying for a hole I put in the wall, and then paying off the rest of my new Ibanez.
Though I suppose, before all that, I should get a job.

Posters aren't that expensive :)
Anyways, I missed this earlier.. but yeah, until you can get a nice 75w Spider III, get a Randall.
-
Yeah, but it's downstairs in plain sight. I still live in my parents' house, too, so everything has got to go their way.
After I get a job though, I'm gonna go looking around at amps.

Double post for me!
Anyways.. Here, I got some more **** up.. On the little excerpt called "Acoustica" ignore the power chord part.. That is a pretty old riff of mine, and I just recently updated it.
"Thrash song" sounds like ***, and so does the solo, but hey, I'm working on my chops..

Are you taking lessons? You might want to look into that.
edit: Not meant to be insulting.
-
No, I'm not taking lessons, but I'd rather learn by myself.
I really only need to work on the solo for that song. It's basically just a scale, and it sounds too plain.
-
Double postage!!
I got another song up.. It started as me recording myself messing around for four minutes, seeing if I could get a song out of it. I listened to the recording and there was three riffs I really liked(the first three you hear, haha. The middle/final riff wasn't in the original.), so I took them and made a song. I'm really proud of it.
There's no solo, but I'm debating whether or not to even try to make one for it.
let me know what you think!

I wrote a new song and I also wrote a solo for a song for my new band. You can check both out at my purevolume.

The solo is obviously titled "Hel(l)p, 2nd solo", and the new song is the very first one, "Storm on the Battlefield".
"Father of Plague" is just an old song with a name change.
EDIT:
Apparently, there's been 3 new songs since I last posted.
"Groovular Homicide" is not finished, but I like the direction it's headed.
