Title: Help!!!
Post by: Koomba on January 20, 2007, 10:40:51 PM
I've been trying to import a specific picture for a charset, and it won't work. I checked all the sets I put into it, and they all came up fine. I don't know what's wrong with it. Please help me. Here is the picture

What didn't work?  What error message did you get?

If you got invalid valid colour depth, that means it isn't set to 256 colours.

I have RPG maker 2003 so I've never seen that. It said
"Bitmap color is irregular." On the seperate charsets it just said
"Bitmap size is irregular." Which I delt with. I switched out all of the charsets that said either "Bitmap color is irregular" and "Unsupported PNG image." I don't know what colors are wrong. I made the charsets on this site fyi.
Title: It was in RGB Color its suppose to be indexed...

What do you mean by "RBG color" and "indexed?"

Really dont know how to explain that either Daetyrnis or someone else could....(all I know it has something to do with the color palette, RGB contains all the colors while indexed only has what is used)

Any other program other than photoshop I cant tell you how to change to indexed...but for the photshop I use...

In photoshop I just go to mode and change it from there...

Ya RGB is not the right thing.
Anyway's this may sound Nosey if  I spelt that right.Did you make those or did you use Chara's Ex ??Because I noticed how they looked alike the Marvel body parts in Charas.

Whenever I have importing trouble, I usually just open a functioning Charset in paint with similar colors (and the same background color), go to Edit, Paste From, and paste the finicky charset over the working one. Then I File, Save As whatever I want to name it in the appropriate Charaset folder. Works like a charm.

Regardless of the situation, don't flame people.

The only thing that you are accomplishing by saying that, regardless of the accuracy of what you say, is making yourself look bad.

Yes, making yourself look like an idiot.

Koopa, if you're still here, I converted it to 256 colors for you. This should work now:

You are both idiots!! OMG! I'm saying that because you are arguing on my post. You should start you own post just for arguing. Retards. You both have problems.

Thank you Meiscool. It worked. Now the "children" (lol) can post argue somewhere else. And Meiscool, My name is Koomba, not Koopa. That's the tuna guy.

This thread doesn't need to be locked. Just because you're tired of it, doesn't mean it should be locked. If it really gets out of hand, I'll take care of it. But we're all mature members here, and before we lock anything, we should just try to settle it first.

Ok, maybe jj1546 was trying to help. In rmxp you can't have more than one character on a sheet, so maybe he was thinking of that. It won't make a differance in lagging though. No matter how incorrect it was, you don't need to call him an idiot. In the future, point out people mistakes, but don't call them idiots and flame them for them.

Koomba, you have a point about them arguing in your thread, but flaming in return isn't going to help the situation at all.

Now that the original issue was solved, theres no real need to post in this thread anymore, however, if Koomba has any more questions relating to this issue, he might as well post them here instead of making a new thread.
